Great location and rooms

The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The location is perfect and there’s an underground car park next door which is secure. The problem is checking in. The front door is locked. No one answered for nearly an hour. One phone number wasn’t answered and the other is out of service

It was nice but, not enough toilet paper... Ran out before the morning. The linens could use a change... They where torn so as the mattress. And they should leave conditioner in the shower. But other than that slept great. Good coffee in the room. Awesome area . They have the place to be a great hotel!! Just need a bit of more touch!

Quaint and charming

This hotel is close to town in a very old building, which gave it charm but also skinny hallways and stairs.Parking was downstairs underneath the freeway, which was a little tricky until you knew what you were doing. Check in was down a back alley where you had to ring a doorbell to be let in. There really wasn’t a reception. We were just walked through a dark hallway into a restaurant where we believe the waiter that checked us in. The room was big and comfortable.

For the price, this was hard to beat. Great location and not far from station, but we ended up getting there early in the morning (as we only had a day there) and on top of being difficult to find, the “staff” told us to just place our luggage in a random, unlocked and unstaffed room while we waited for the room to be ready at 2pm. No elevator and had to go up like six flights of stairs but room was spacious and good view and clean. Would have gotten more stars yet “staff” not accommodating and poor instructions.

Confortable room near parking and city center

Small but confortable and clean room, near the center of Bruges (5-10 min by foot to the main points of interest). Big parking (14 euros for 24 hours) next to the hotel. Excellent and big breakfast available.

Our room was very clean and very comfortable, and it's a great location, however, the hotel itself is "not as advertised" let me explain from the onlin info: 1) "the front desk is open daily from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm" there is no front desk, there is not staff on site, you have to go to a local restaurant and one of their staff let's you in. The front door buzzer, no one answers. Left a note via the Hotels.com app - no answer 2) "Check in time is 2:00 pm" Restaurant contact said it's 3 pm until we showed him our print out. 3) Our reservation included breakfast. Restaurant guy said "no" and even when he called the "manager" they said "no" until we showed him our print out. In fact you have to go to another hotel, the Lace Hotel for your breakfast. Not a big deal but very confusing 4) Lastly, and not a big deal, but to have a coffee machine in the room, but have no coffee, especially when jetlagged and desiring caffeine was a bit of a let down. All in all, nice location, nice room, but people booking should be aware of some of the items not fully as advertised...we'd love to come back to Bruges, but would look elsewhere to stay next time...

When I arrived the door in the back alley was locked (as it always is) but after ringing the bell several times and calling the property phone # I was still locked out. I arrived at 4pm which seemed a reasonable arrival time. Finally I asked someone in the neighboring kitchen for help and he was able to find someone to let me in and get me my key. The hotel is some rooms above a restaurant so there is no front office or anything. I was in the James Dean room at the top of the building. The AC wasn't working and there was a heat wave that day. I asked staff for help and he said there was nothing he could do. I ended up barely getting any sleep and felt quite ill from the heat all night. The next day I asked to change rooms but there weren't any. At least they could get me a fan. But the room still never really cooled down. I got tons of bug bites over night I hope was just mosquitos as I was not under any covers. The alley outside the window was also wildly noisy at 5am Thurs morning because of deliveries. There was no soap next to the the sink, one mirror was broken, and the towels had stains and holes. The bed was comfortable, the refrigerator was a god send, and the location is great. For a budget stay it was okay. But I will not stay here again.

Room itself was pleasant enough. The architecture was beautiful, with authentic old timber floors and exposed wooden beams full of character. However, there were several aspects of the experience that fell short. The accommodation is located above a bar, and the overall setup made us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests. Check-in is handled by the bar staff, and the person assisting us was unfriendly and unhelpful. Access to the property is through an inconspicuous rear entrance, which only reinforced the impression that the accommodation is secondary to the bar and restaurant at the front. The room itself also lacked attention to detail. The bathroom mirror was cracked, with sections of glass appearing loose and at risk of falling out. The towels had been rolled up and placed inside the sink, which felt odd and unhygienic. Refreshments were minimal — just two Nescafé coffee pods and a coffee machine, with no tea or complimentary water provided. We purchased a 2L bottle of water from the bar and were charged €9 despite being guests. This could quite easily have been complimentary. Finally, I was staying with my five-year-old child, and I was concerned that the bathroom window had no safety restriction or protection to prevent it opening fully. A child could easily fall out, which is a serious safety issue.

Niente della struttura corrisponde alla descrizione su Expedia. Checkin tremendo, la persona che ci ha accolto, dopo essere stata chiamata dai camerieri del ristorante, era maleducata e svogliata, non sapeva neanche quanti gg ci saremmo fermati né se avessimo pagato la colazione che, tra l'altro non è all'interno della struttura. Il parcheggio non ha convenzioni ma seppur vicino abbiamo dovuto arrangiarci e pagarlo a prezzo pieno. Niente pulizie giornaliere e polvere in giro, lenzuola strappate niente phone in camera e asse del water rotto e nastrato.

Die Hotelbeschreibung entspricht nicht der Tatsache.... ausser das es nah an der Altstadt liegt. Die angegebene Adresse führt in ein unterirdisches öffentliches Parkhaus mit ganz normalen Preisen, die in der Beschreibung erwähnte Parkmöglichkeit, befinden sich am Bahnhof ca. 15 Minuten Gehweg vom Hotel entfernt. Die angegebene Hausnummer existiert auch nicht, den der Eingang befindet sich im Hinterhof.... Dort gibt es keinen Empfangslobie und/oder anwesendes Personal, geschweige den die erwähnte Zeitung! Die Abwicklung, sprich Bezahlung und weiter Angelegenheiten werden, im dort befindliche Restaurant (beim Kellner) vorgenommen. Das Zimmer war zwar geräumig, wurde aber nicht gereinigt und die erwähnte Zimmer Reinigung fand während unseren Aufenthalt auch nicht statt. Davon abgesehen war die Toilettenbrille mit Klebeband repariert! Für das von uns dazugebuchte Frühstück mussten wir ein anderes Hotel ( ca. 5-10 Min. Gehweg) aufsuchen...

Chambre grande et belle, le logement est idéalement situé pour tout visiter à pieds et y venir depuis la gare de train en moins de 15 min. Un équipement moderne qui devrait être un peu mieux entretenu, par exemple le mitigeur de la vasque de lavabo n’était pas fixé. De nombreux fils pendaient derrière la télévision. Et concernant le petit déjeuner …on ne nous a pas dit à l’arrivée qu’on doit le prendre dans un autre établissement et puisque celui où on réside est fermé le matin jusqu’à 11h00 , la 1ere nuit nous n’avons pas pu en bénéficier. Et le 2ème jour nous avons dû sonner à l’autre établissement pour qu’ils acceptent de nous ouvrir leurs portes et insister pour en bénéficier…enfin. Sinon, personnel sympathique et qui a accepté de garder notre bagage quelques heures après le check-out de départ .

Man kan ikke finde selve pensionatet fra torvets side. Måtte gå ind i restaurant på adr nr 23. En tjener var flink og gav os nøgle til værelset. Der er ikke personale til pensionatet og de svarede ikke på vores besked angående anlomst. Værelse fint og dejligt med aircondition. Ok rent. Liger godt ift centrum. Morgenmad på andet hotel var godt, men vi kunne ikke komme ind på dette hotel, da der ikke var nogen i receptionen.Andre gæster lukkede os heldigvis ind. Hvis man ankommer i bil kan vi anbefale at parkere under pladsen på T'zand i pavillion B. Så kommer man lige op foran restaurant 23. Den rigtige indgang er bagved på en lille gade Hoogste van Brugge, hvor der er et samtale anlæg. Ok ophold men noget forvirring omkring ankomst. Tror ikke vi booker igen

Svårt att hitta, finns ingen reception. Vi försökte lista ut vilken adress och pratade sen med restaurangpersonalen och det visade sig att vi var på rätt plats. Jättefint rum, skön säng. Med nyckel så var ingången i gränden bakom restaurangen. Är egentligen bara rum som hyrs ut ovanpå restaurangen men prisvärt och bra. Frukost i hotell lite längre bort som hade samma ägare.

El lugar está muy bien ubicado, es un poco complicado encontrar la entrada del hotel porque se reserva donde está el bar. El grifo del lavamanos donde me hospedé servía pero estaba roto. La habitación limpia, sin embargo, la tetera y la máquina de café no servían. El minifrigobar me sirvió de mucho . En resumen, si me gustó pero tiene cosas que mejorar.

Moeite met inchecken. Paar keer aangebeld en gebeld op telefoon maar werd niet open gedaan en opgenomen. Moesten blijkbaar inchecken aan de andere kant van het gebouw in een restaurant. Dit was niet duidelijk. Maar verder een mooie kamer en een goed bed.

L’accueil du personnel est déplorable. On a vraiment l’air de déranger. Le chauffage en position hors gel !!! Le ménage !!!! Horrible de la poussière, énormément de poussière dans les coins, sur la lampe de chevet, la tête de lit mais surtout sur les poutres et l’armoire. Le lavabo ne se visait pas bien : poils et cheveux étaient au rdv. Dégoûtant ! Dommage car le logement est très bien placé et le lit est confortable.

We belden aan en er zou iemand komen. Die man kwam ook, maar het was precies enkel om de toeristenbelasting te ontvangen. Hij zei niet waar onze kamer was, laat staan waar de trap naar boven was. Over ontbijt en of uitcheck werd niet gesproken. Op de kamer stond een koffiemachine waar we eerst maar zelf de lege cupjes van de vorige bezoekers eruit moesten halen. Het waren waarschijnlijk meerdere bezoekers want het bakje zat vol en dat waren 5 of 6 cupjes en je krijgt er maar twee als je toekomt. Op het eerste zicht was het proper maar de spinnenwebben werden toch snel zichtbaar. De douche was ‘proper’ maar de schimmel aan de deurrand was zeker aanwezig. Als we ‘s morgens gingen ontbijten merkten we dat de zaak waar onze kamers boven gelegen was, gesloten was. Bij nader onderzoek van de gang ontdekte ik een briefje waar opstond dat het ontbijt op een andere locatie was. Daar aangekomen konden we niet binnen. Ik bel naar het gsm nummer die in de mail stond, voicemail.. wij terug naar die gang om te kijken of we ons niet vergist hadden, niet dus. We gingen terug en nu stonden daar twee mannen die daar werkten, buiten te roken. Ze checkten onze naam en we mochten binnen. In de hall was het voor ons niet duidelijk waar naartoe dus eerst nog eens vragen naar waar we moesten. Ons inbegrepen ontbijt was alles behalve. Ik heb nu al heel veel hotels of kamers met ontbijt gezien maar dit was echt het beperktste en minste dat ik al gezien heb. Slechte koffie, geen suiker, geen vers beleg
