Nice hotel very close to canal & the main sight

Posted 26-Jul-2016
Hotel with a great location! I was supposed to only stay in Bruges for one night and loved the city so much I extended it to 3. I changed rooms a couple times. I LOVED the basement canal view room. Every picture you see of Bruges has the facad of the hotel in it. Typical European breakfast is included but if you want a fancier American breakfast option you can go across the small courtyard to the other hotel. Excellent location and very friendly staff!

Better than I expected

Posted 01-Jul-2016
Pros: It's location and quaintness set ont the side of the river.
Cons: The breakfast coffee. Wi fi a bit weak but we were on the 3rd floor.
Location: We walked easily with cases to and from to the railway station to the hotel. About 1/2 hour. We are fit 70 yr olds.
I chose this hotel because of the location and was not disappointed. Could walk to all the sight seeing places and museums and get a boat road just a few yards down the street. Lovely view of Bruges from my room which was clean and nicely decorated. The stairs were a bit steep but there was a convenient lift to the second floor. The staff were very helpful and polite.

Great view from a canal side room.

Faded grandeur - the beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean but breakfast service was poor - had to ask for coffee and water to be refilled, cheese ran out and despite asking how to get a boiled egg didn't see one..... There was a big hollow/hole in the hall floor on the third floor which caught us out the first time we walked the hallway and a lick of paint would not have gone astray nor some carpet shampoo. Great location though and very quiet.

Nice hotel , excellent location

Posted 28-Jun-2016
Pros: Excellent location , brilliant surroundings , decent rooms , standard breakfast , good price.
Cons: Maybe a bit of redecoration as the rooms look a bit dated . Keep in mind that the price was decent. A local bicycle rental option .
Location: One of the best locations , all sites and attractions are within walking distance.

If you book, don't book standard.

Posted 21-Jun-2016
Beautiful hotel next to river with beautiful views and close to market square, our only problem was we book standard and the room had wall paper peeling in corners, furniture with tea cup rings stains, which look like it came from second hand shops, and a huge stain on carpet right out side bathroom, So not impressed with our room. however on a good note the hotel its self from the outside is lovely and is walking distance to the square.staff are friendly . if we do go aqain I will pay for better room as that did ruin the experience of our holiday

Good Hotel close to the Action

Posted 21-Jun-2016
The hotel was in an excellent location for transport and for walking to sites. We found the first room allocated to be on the side where the trains ran but the second room was very quiet. Plenty of good restaurants and reasonably priced. Staff members were particularly helpful at all times. Within walking distance of many of the main sites of Berlin.

top locatie

Posted 13-Jun-2016
Pros: locatie
Cons: kamers renoveren
we zaten in een standaard kamer die was klein, zeer verouderd en muffig. De locatie daarentegen was top, dichtbij de grote markt en gezellige pleintjes en terrasjes. Ontbijt was ook prima in orde.

Charming, very central hotel

Posted 26-May-2016
We could not have asked for a more perfect hotel/location. The hotel was lovely, clean and charming. Breakfast was plentiful continental, more than enough for a busy day site seeing. Staff were fantastic above and beyond what you would expect. There is no resturant onsite but there are so many good eateries in Bruges it did not matter. Thank-you Hotel Bourgoensch Hof for adding to our adventure.

Beautiful hotel, right in the heart of Bruges

Posted 23-May-2016
Pros: The position of the hotel, which is close to everything.
Cons: Maybe open the restaurant in the "Erasmus" part of the hotel.
Location: The hotel is right on the can al on the most photographed part of Bruges. Just up the road to the Market Square and in the same road as many choc.
From the moment that we arrived, we felt that we were "looked after". The staff could not do enough for us. We arrived on a beautiful sunny day so the room was hot but noticed that there was a fan in the wardrobe, so the staff had thought of everything. Breakfast has been improved so you will not go away from the breakfast table hungry. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. It was a pity that no evening meals are available, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Perfect location

Posted 09-May-2016
Hotel rooms are small but clean. Check in was quick and staff very friendly. We had room overlooking the street with great views yet not noisy. Underground parking was approx 100m away, €8.70 for 24 hrs. Nice hotel great location.
