"We were very pleased with our room after booking last minute. We had a large living area which was very cosy. We requested a travel cot which was ready in the room waiting with sheets and blankets. The cot unfortunately would not fit in our bedroom, so we positioned it against the back of the sofa outside our bedroom door. We did have to use blankets to block the breeze coming through the bottom of the door as it was close to the cot but this worked fine. The breakfast in the morning was nice, as a pescatarian I would have loved the option to have the cooked breakfast minus the meat, but the veggie options were still good. The river alongside is really lovely. we had planned to go for a run in the morning but there were no routes that avoided running along unpaved roads. We did not use the spa facilities as this wouldn't work having our baby with us.We will definitely stay here again when visitng my sister nearby! "

"Clean room, lots of free parking, great location in heart of town and beneath Montgomery Castle. The staff were lovely, food was excellent with priority on using local ingredients and beer and wine. Superb value for money as well. Would not hesitate to return to The Dragon Hotel in future!"

"Over priced and under delivered. Staff were nice tbf, room was £130 + £15 for our dog well over priced for location and quality, no discount for eating in restaurant prices compared to hotel in major city centres, I travel a lot for work and know! Only continental breakfast included absolute joke. Dinner in restaurant again poor Pad Thai must have been left on pass chicken and prawns dry sauce way to thick again dried out. Then told while relaxing with friends hadn’t seen for 5 years to leave at 9.30 and got to bed, ridiculous "

"Staff were very welcoming, room was clean and well kept, with tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries. They catered for my needs as a vegetarian - the food served in the pub is excellent and the Guinness is well kept! The staff fitted breakfast requirements around my need to catch particular trains. Would definitely stay there again."
