The Well House is a romantic, unique and cosy retreat for two, located at the end of a private drive and situated in rolling, unspoilt countryside. The owners have kept much of the property's period details to offer a holiday home that’s unlike any other. The 40-foot-deep Well with its glass top is a fascinating central feature that doubles up as the dining table with lights, illuminating the very depths of the Well. There’s also a cosy wood-burning stove set in an original brick fireplace and plenty of original exposed timbers and brickwork. Full height windows let the light flood in and ancient, fortified doors open out to your own outside space with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue.
The cottage is set on a four acre estate and guests have access to an orchard with pear, apple and olive trees. There are plenty of walks a short distance from The Well House, including the famous Monarch’s Way footpath that approximates Charles II’s escape route following the Battle of Worcester. Guests can also enjoy pre-booked hair and beauty appointments at the property. The grounds are shared with two other properties, Crossbrook Farm (sleeps two) and The Chapel (sleeps two) which can be booked individually or together for the potential of sleeping six guests.

From the moment we stepped foot on this stunning property, we were literally blown away by the attention to detail in every aspect. The Well House has everything you could possibly need for an amazing getaway. The owners Stuart and Victoria went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The fire was lit, the welcome hamper was filled with fresh bread, cheese, wine, snacks, and the hot tub was ready!! The fridge was stocked with several staples as well!! This property far exceeded our expectations. We have already booked a stay for next year and we can’t wait to be back!!
