I couldn’t fault the property and all the staff were lovely and very helpful
My room was very nice and very clean
And breakfast was great with a lovely and efficient staff

Positives: The staff at the novotel were helpful and friendly. The additional activities for children were appreciated. The bed and bedding were comfy. Rituals toiletries were lovely. Plenty of towels and complimentary water was lovely. Breakfast food was good and gluten free options appreciated.
Ways to improve: Decor is very tired and in need of rejuvenation. Carpets had seen better days.At breakfast gluten free options and decaf coffee was not readily avaliable. Once requested it took quite a while to have these items delivered.Children said the sofa beds were uncomfortable. Lots of local conatruction so quite noisy.

Room was okay overall but AC didnt work during extreme cold weathers. Cleaners leaving windows open and when reporting the issue to reception nobody came to help and received no compensation

I tend to always stay here when visiting Bristol as rates are reasonable and location is quiet but still close to all the activities. My only concern is navigating my way to the hotel due to all the one-way roads, bus lanes & raod closures but that's an issue with Bristol not Novotel

Rooms were cold, numerous in rooms items were different in every room, soap, coffee machine, cream, water, shower gell etc.

We had a room which we paid £169 for, which ended up being an executive suite. It did include a large bathroom, nice tv with free view and a large comfy bed. The room however was a bit grim, and even though it had a no smoking sign on the door someone had definitely smoked in there, and there was also tabaco on the table. All of the sides & phone had a layer of dust on them and the curtains had stains on them. We went to use the kettle & tea cups which were also dirty and stained. A shame for such an expensive room.

Booked a room for me and my partner as the hotel was near the music venue we were attending to watch a band 10 days before we were due to go and watch the band we had a email to notify us that the band had cancelled the uk tour, so rang the hotel to see if could cancel the room for mabye a partial refund as they had 10 days notice and we were refused any refund not even 10percent , as the room was almost 100 pounds and such a big hotel chain we won't be using them ever again or would not recommend to friends

When we arrived at the carpark, we walked up the stairs to reception. The carpet was filthy! Not a great first impression. Check in was 1pm but we checked in at 4pm. To our surprise our room was not ready!! The gentleman on reception was polite and friendly and explained they were fully booked the night before and the cleaners had not finished the rooms. We waited in the reception area for around 15/20 minutes before being called to our room. The room was clean and basic which is what we expected. The USB charger at the side of the bed did not work and half of the chanels on TV had no signal. Breakfast was good and restaurant staff were helpful and quick to clean away after guests left. When we checked out, the cleaners were sitting in the chair in the corridor (near room 215) chatting and on their phones ( not surprised they couldnt keep up with the cleaning) i really loved the umbrellas at reception which kept us dry for the rememberance parade.

The room I stayed in was nice and big; plenty of space to relax or work on your laptop for a bit. The fit out was good and felt high end for the price tag. Location is great, short walk to Bristol Temple Meads train station or into the tourist parts of town.

It's in the clean air zone so account for that charge if necessary and they Charge £14 for overnight parking.
