Close to shops, south bank, transport
Room clean, but only bed in it. Shared bathroom clean, but kitchen dirty. Very quiet. Staff very helpful.

I couldn't sleep for at least 1 hour. There was a door opening and closing all of the time and in addition, the aircon throws the air directly on the bed.

Not Bad
Basic and affordable accomodation in the city, close to Queen Street Mall and great other eateries, exploring is easy. Parking is a nightmare and will cost a fortune though, the Hilton Hotel owns the parking spaces which is why, better to catch public transport than have a car. All in all it was fine, facilities are cleaned daily and security measures were surprisingly good. I'd stay again.

Central location and Clean
One night stay in a private room. Easy check in/check out. Working elevator. Very noisy but it was a Friday night so not surprising. I was very happy that the noise cut offs (after 10 or 11pm) were upheld and eventually got to sleep. Would stay again.

bad experience so not a hostel id stay in again
room was full of long termers and it was an absolutely pig sty. clothes and pizza boxes all over the floor and undies hanging everywhere - it looked like cleaners didnt even clean the room. i felt really depressed and moved into a hotel the next day. it wasnt the hostels fault that i was put in a room full of gross backpackers but id never stay there again tbh

best hostel in Brisbane
I've been to about 15-20 different hostels and this one was by far the nicest. Building seems brand new with no stains, cracks, etc. All the facilities are clean and modern, bedrooms have super cold AC. Staff very polite. Best hostel in Brisbane by far.

Cheap and good enough
It's cheap and you get what you paid for. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the dorm wasn't very clean, but I never felt grossed out by anything. The staff is great, the bathrooms are cleaned at least 3 times a day, they collect the garbage in the room everyday and they do collect 'forgotten' items in the kitchen everyday too. Overall I would give 6 out of 10 and only because the bed wasn't very good (I always woke up with body aches). It could easily go to 7,5 if it weren't for the bed.

Convenient and descent place if tight on budget
As a backpacker hostel, the overall experience was good. Rooms are little smaller, but OK and generally clean. Although they mentioned shared bathroom; I hoped the toilets were attached (as seen in pictures) but were not. There was little-bit noise some blokes talking loudly in the lobby at 11 PM but could well be a random occurrance. Generally, not a bad place to stay if budget is tight. Felt safe and welcoming.

Pleasant Stay
I had a very pleasant stay at Base Embassy, the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and quiet and the hotel is right around the corner from Queen St. Mall, bus and train stations.

Smelly hallways, dark and dirty rooms
This place is gross. It smelled like vomit and hamburgers. The streets are noisy and the bathroom mirror had boogers stuck to it. There was hair on the bathroom floor and standing water everywhere. The public bathrooms at the train station are cleaner. Don't stay here!

Stayed there 5 nights. No noise on my floor (4.). Windows don't open. Overall clean place. Cool movie room. Elevator. Kitchen has a balcony. Close to shops.

Base Embassy has really good location. We decided to go for a double room with ensutie which is a much cheaper option than a hotel…..it is defiantly wothr it if you don't feel like sharing with other. The room it self is not very impressive and the bed is quit small. however it has all you need and is what to expect from what you're paying.

Overall pretty good
Beds are extremely squeaky and it can be difficult to get on the top bunk. The layout makes it kinda hard to meet people. Room got kinda warm but it was the middle of summer. Really didn't like having to pay for internet but it could have been worse. Overall, it's a pretty good hostel and I wouldn't mind staying there again, especially when I need to go to QIT.

Adequate is the best you could say
It's a hostel so I didn't expect the world but little things like the air conditioning didn't work, no remote to try and adjust it. No window to open, dodgy mattress were a little disappointing. The location is perfect for centre of city wandering and staff were friendly at both check in and out.

very handy location
I was there for three nights, the hotel is good for the location and price. They try hard to keep the place clean and free of smoke, but just many young backpackers seems not to care for that and leave the kitchen with their dirty dishes. Some of them also try to smoke at the veranda.
