Brienzer Rothorn

The rooms were really good - I love the design. The church bells can be a little loud if you like to sleep with open windows. I didn’t mind it; after an active day in the mountains, I sleep like a rock. The breakfast was so so; we must be spoiled from other hotels before. Location is perfect to start your day trips and the staff was happy to help with that as well. We were able to walk to a little spot just 5min away to take a swim in the lake as well - very convenient.

I stayed there for 6 nights while exploring the Jungfrau area and I made a good choice. First, the everchanging lake view from the balcony was awesome. I could never get tired of it, because it kept changing with the weather and lighting. The single room was small, but I didn't care; it had everything I needed. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Breakfast had all the standard fare as well as fries, which seemed odd. Also nice view while eating breakfast. I did not try out any spa or exercise room activities. It is a bit remote, and while there was frequent bus service I think a car is most appropriate. I was there in June, 2026, and the restaurant did not really serve dinner. Some snack type fare was available.
