This charming 100+ year old cottage was completely updated in 2019 with all the amenities you want for your summer vacation on the water. At the end of the day, the fabulous front porch will beckon you for hours of games, conversation, and cold beverages. Anchored by a stone fireplace, the Austrian inspired wood paneled main rooms are open concept and comfortable with plenty of seating. The dining room has a table for 6 persons and the living room has a sofa, two rocking chairs, a lounge chair and a large built in window seat. Good Cheer has 3 bedrooms, 2 queen beds and 1 king bed. There is 1 bath on the first floor with a new subway tiled shower and a half bath on the second floor. The new kitchen is fully applianced and outfitted. Other amenities include wireless internet; air conditioning; gas grill; use of canoe; fire pit; washer and dryer; TV with streaming through Chromecast. The waterfront has a dock with boat tie-up and a small sandy bottomed swimming area, perfect young children. PLEASE NOTE: We are accepting Friday to Friday bookings during the summer. If you try to book a Saturday to Saturday stay, it will show up at not available, but may be only because of the check in day. Easy to cook in the well-appointed kitchen. A/C was much appreciated on the mid-90s days. Kath was always quick to respond from the moment we booked. Good Cheer Cottage is just what the doctor ordered. Three bedrooms with wonderful mattresses, a well-stocked kitchen, a living room with a wood stove, and a fabulous roof covered porch looking over the lake where we spent much of our time. Our hosts were so attentive, easy to communicate with, and met us on arrival with a bottle of wine and some saltwater taffy, that was such a nice surprise. The new tiled shower on the first floor was a welcome addition and the large kitchen sink made preparing dinners easy. I would highly recommend staying at Good Cheer Cabin! ##### Kimm W. The cottage has an incredible history. Our family used to vacation on Long Lake Bridgton every summer at a family owned cottage close to Good Cheer and it was fabulous to be back on the lake. The cottage is so cozy and comfortable with amazing views of the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the lake- very relaxing. Kathleen was amazing and very flexible with check in and out times to accommodate our schedule. Wonderful hosts who wanted to be sure we had a good time. The house has everything once could need including good air conditioning because it was hot. Lake was amazing - water very warm and clean.
