Only a half mile from the house, order a fried seafood plate and an ice cream cone at Kate’s Seafood restaurant or visit the Lemon Tree Village plaza, with its many shops and boutiques, where you’ll find handmade sweets and chocolate confections, kids’ toys, women’s clothing, handcrafted pottery and Cafe Alfresco, which serves a selection of breakfast dishes, specialty sandwiches, salads and, of course, a variety of caffeinated beverages—hot and cold. The walk to the beach is kind of far if you're toting kids and gear. Daily passes are $40\. We walked down the first day for sunset (bring bug spray). Paine's Creek beach is fantastic for littles. Parking after 4pm is free. Get there at 4! We walked back and got ice cream at the local clam/ice cream place. The location is a drive to get to just about anything. Communications were perfect wth DelMar. Unfortunately, we had a rainy week at the Cape and came home a day early. ##### Sharon S.
