Loved the amount of space. House was beautiful and location was great ! Was not made aware that we had to go to another location for check in which was inconvenient since we had just traveled 12 hours and was ready to relax. Would have liked to have locks on inside of front door, it automatically locked so no one from outside could just walk in but had no way to stop anyone from going out. I have 2 toddlers and they were able to open front door easily because we couldn’t secure it. Overall had a good experience.

Here’s the deal.. felt like I was in a 70’s sitcom.. old and outdated. Not what the pictures showed. Yes the view was decent and the people I dealt with were very nice. But there were no comforts in the condo.
No soap for bathing or conditioner.. had to check in at another location then go back the building which felt abandoned since there were no people or cars around! A little odd and not what I expected.. sorry to say. Ended up having to stay somewhere else 😞
I dont normally write long reviews but we had the worst experience here and feel like it needs to be addressed.
Firstly if you book this place on Expedia be aware the phone number they give you is incorrect. No one answers the phone. Also states that if you’re going to be later than a 10 pm check in to call and let them know. Again no one answers the phone so we were stressed about that. And don’t bother contacting Expedia because they will tell you it’s a “personal problem” that we will check in late and can’t get a hold of anyone. The address they give you is not where check in is at. You have to drive 12 minutes away to check in. Then drive back to the cabins.
Thankfully the people at the front desk were very nice ! This property is definitely older. The fire place had broken pieces on it with wires exposed. Dead bugs on the floor. Couch were definitely old and worn. Beds are very uncomfortable. Carpet and rugs could definitely be replaced. Overall just not very clean.
My kids were excited for the jet tub. After they got out there was black stuff all in it. Not from my children! I would not recommend using the jets.
If you have small children the front door does not have a lock from the inside so they easily can get it open. We ended up having to most the small chair in front so our 1 year old couldn’t get out where there is lots of stairs.
This property is on an extremely steep hill. Probably the steepest road I’ve ever seen.

At ck in sign on door to go 12 miles to different location for ck in. There they tried to sell us show tickets and listen to sales pitch about properties they owned. Didn’t appreciate their insistence.
I read the previous review and thought we were in trouble. The cabin has seen some wear, but it is clean. Not out of the 70's at all. We enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room for six of us. The rooms are large and could easily accomodate littles. We did not experience anything negative.

We had no view, it was cabins in all directions except for a tiny wooded area behind the house. It was not ground level entry. We had a flight of stairs to the front porch and then another flight of stairs for the two other bed rooms. Upstairs AC unit went out on the second day, maintenance was able to repair it the next day.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Screened back porch was nice to have. Parking at my cabin was very tight and could only fit 1 car. Others had more room for parking. It was close to both silver dollar city and the lake. I do suggest that you call the management company, Capital Vacations, and confirm your trip as soon as you book through expedia. Contact Stormy Point Village to confirm your reservation and get checkin / check out information.
Nice two bedroom condo for an excellent price. Nice partial view of the lake. Hard place to find. First, Google sent me to the wrong place, then the right place was hard to find. No signage on the road or on the building. Then when I got there, I found out I had to drive five miles away to another resort to check in. The check in location was also hidden away and very difficult to find I felt like I was on a scavenger hunt. Then, when I checked in I found out it was a time share deal which explained the cheap price.
The place has a lot of potential, nice view from the deck,, good price, like the layout, good location, but also a lot of issues, other rooms may have been better, ours shouldn't have been rented out.
1)The office wasn't on site.
2) They had 1 packet of regular coffee in the room, we had to call to have more delivered & you couldn't get more than 4 at a time, we were there 9 days, we had to call again to get more
3) Wasn't vacuumed
4) Mold & ceiling falling apart as well as water dripping through from above in the room for the hot water heater & furnace/AC.
5) Lost power, just our unit, got power back but A/C didn't come back on
6) The (2) patio door screens were in very bad shape, torn & bent
7) A broken glass in cabinet
8) One of the ceiling fans was out of balance or not tightened properly to ceiling, very wobbly & noisy unless it was on high

The room was nice size and clean. Their was a lot of bird poop all over the stairs. Check in was a mess they were not at the property when we arrived we had to drive 12 miles away to get checked in and the 12 miles back . Needs better signs on where the rooms are. There was nothing in the email about any of the changes. We ask to be in lower level with no stairs and the put us on the second floor with 18 steps when called they said none were available but I never seen anyone on the lower lever. And we had to put a 250.00 down for damages and nothing was in the email again . We will probably never stay again. The only the view was nice.
