Make a morning trip to the boathouse and enjoy your coffee in the peace and quiet of the river. Finish your day cooking smores at the backyard fire pit. Bring your own boat and cruise the Santa Fe and Suwannee River. Private boat ramp is walking distance from the house. Easy docking at our boathouse. Located on the Santa Fe River, you can swim and kayak right off our dock. You are a short 10-minute drive from the Ichetucknee State Park which host beautiful spots for swimming, tubing, paddle boarding and hiking. The house is located in one of Florida's best natural spring areas. It includes Ginnie Springs (a private park with over 7 springs and miles of riverfront), Blue Springs State Park and Poe Springs. Plenty of seating in both the dining area and living room for a large gathering. If you are a puzzle person, find a seat at the game table and help us finish a puzzle. If you are looking for some real downtime, this is the place to be. At night watch the deer feeding in the front yard and in the morning the manatees and otters playing at the river. The access to the water with the dock was our favorite place to hang out. We swam, laughed and made many memories. We enjoyed that all of us had our own rooms with adjoining bathrooms. The kitchen and living space were nice size, which kept us from feeling crowded. There were 8 adults and 3 kids and we never came close to running out of beach towels or bath towel. The kitchen is stocked with all the equipment you need. The owners are very nice and easy to communicate with. Our son left his work phone there and Debbie, was nice enough to overnight it to him. The cons of the property are: I did not like the check in process. You meet the owners there and they give you a tour and the keys. I would prefer to just read the nice book of information they have there and pick the keys up with a drop box. The home needs a major cleaning from top to bottom. There was dust so thick on the headboard where we slept, the floors didn’t appear to have been swept. We swept the living room, kitchen and room we slept in and couldn’t believe the amount of sand and dog hair we got up. There was a ton of sand on the ottoman in the living room also. The outdoor furniture didn’t appear to have been wiped down for awhile. The sunroom is listed as a bedroom when it fact it isn’t. A HUGE disappointed was the slide at the deck is broken. The deck railings are loose and need to be fixed. It’s clean, comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything in between to make the stay fun and easy. The access to the springs is perfect. But honestly my favorite part was cooking a family dinner in the huge kitchen with my brother in law, puzzling late at night with the grandparents, and games with the kids nieces and nephews. We actually did not use many of the amenities because we attended a larger family gathering in a different location but it made us wish we had more time to play here!
