![St Andrew's Church, Bramfield, Suffolk. Bramfield is about 2 miles south of Halesworth on the A144 road. The church lies just behind the Queen's Head Public House on the west side of the road. Churches with round towers are rare in Britain apart from Norfolk and Suffolk. Although there are nearly 200 examples in these counties, the tower of St Andrew's is unique in Suffolk as it is detached from the church. The tower is probably Norman around the 12th Century and is 43 foot 6 inches high and with wall thickness of 4 foot 6 inches. There are 5 bells the earliest dating from 1440. "We loved this short stay with our extended family. Very well equipped and something for everyone, young and old. Very clean, loads of space and lots of facilities. Loved the enclosed paddock area for the dog and some good walks nearby. The outdoor seating areas are excellent. It would have been good to know in advance that there wasn't a cafetiere in the kitchen or shower gel in the bathrooms especially as the place was so well stocked but this is a simple update of the property details. ...

The water is so soft and the pressure is far more superior compared to where we live! "The apartment enjoys a central location in the lovely quaint coastal town of Southwold. A very comfortable, spacious flat with plenty of shops and places to eat on your doorstep. The bedrooms are on a slightly lower level to the living room and kitchen area and would benefit from some sort of coloured strip to draw your attention to this as the flooring is all one uniform colour. An accident waiting to happen! Otherwise a really nice place to stay."

"Beautiful room and amenities. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was gorgeous, and would be even nicer when warmer as each has a little table and chairs in front - the room had everything you could want v spacious and gorgeous Temple Spa bathroom products, and a lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of Copper House gin ;) lovely meal in the restaurant and delicious breakfast. We were there combining a whiskey tour and tasting just next door which would highly recommend. We know and love Southwold but rarely need to stay as have family nearby so this was a lovely treat to experience The Swan. "

"Amazing stay from pre-check-in to check out. Clean room with amenities. We took our dog and they provided a dog bed, towel, water bowl and treats. Perfect bolthole for a stay away. We sat and played games in the snug area of the bar with an open fire for the afternoon. There’s complimentary canapés from 5:30pm and the restaurant had dishes for all dietary requirements. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be returning again."

"As always I was very open minded about staying here, thought it might be overly pretentious but I was very pleasantly surprised, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The grounds are very well taken care of, even in winter, the hotel is spotlessly clean and so are the rooms, which are nice and spacious. The restaurant was quite plain but the food is certainly not, I had the roast chicken as I said a Sunday night, it was well presented, beautifully cooked, and so much of it, I am gluten free and they catered for, which was a really lovely surprise, and the best chocolate brownie I have ever tasted. Breakfast was equally as good. I would certainly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again, it was such a shame I didnt have time to visit the spa."
