During our first night's stay, the power went out and we had to be creative with how we spent our time, as skiing was out of the question and most other activities as well. What we appreciated was the amazing communication that we had with Laura the entire time we were there. She was very responsive to any questions we had and offered suggestions on their favorite places to visit. We regained power after about 15 hours and were able to go skiing the following day. We were grateful to have a place that was clean, cozy, comfortable, and reliable in such a situation. This was our first trip to Michigan. We wanted to stay somewhere that allowed us to explore many different areas including Charlevoix, Traverse, etc. We are so glad we stayed in this home. It was so very clean and simply adorable. Boyne City was wonderful offering plenty of restaurants, beaches, shops, boat rentals, and activities. There are parks all around and we felt safe day and night. The home is located within walking distance to the beach and downtown. The SkyBridge at Boyne Mountain is 10 minutes away, Charlevoix is a 25 minute drive away. Boyne Mountain has lots of activities including pickleball courts and a very nice indoor water park and is just 10 minutes from the home. We drove an hour to Mackinac for one day and also made it to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We hope to visit this same home in the fall/winter. The hosts were so kind, easy to communicate with.
