"We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, because it's a quiet and charming location just few steps from the lake. The staff is very kind and the hotel also offers and organizes several activities on or near the lake.
Also the jams at breakfast are worth to mention."

"Exceptional hospitality and stunning views!
We received the warmest welcome we could have ever imagined. A huge thank you to Anja at reception; she made us feel right at home the moment we stepped inside. She truly went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect and even arranging a special surprise for my birthday—a gesture that made our stay unforgettable!
The entire team is friendly and professional, but a special shout-out goes to the Chef in the main dining room. As vegans, we sometimes find buffets limiting, but the Chef was incredibly accommodating, preparing a delicious, bespoke vegan meal for our main dish for us almost every evening. Shame the soups, starters (except the salads & obvious steamed mixed vegetables) and desserts (excepts fruits) are all non-vegan. They could have at least prepared 1 cake out out 5 or 7 cakes made as vegan.
The facilities are top-notch; the pools and jacuzzis are pristine and well-maintained. There is nothing quite like a morning swim while soaking in those iconic views of Lake Bled and the castle. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality getaway!
But there’s no gym so that’s one star less and the vegan selection for dinner buffet. "
"The room was not clean, there was no curtain, the shower broke after every use & the basic amenities in the room were lacking.
I wouldn’t stay here again "
"Rooms simple, but clean and comfy beds. Location is fantastic and the breakfast very good. Hotel has a rather clinical / industrial feel throughout. Swimming pool on the top floor is good, however I would avoid the park spa (I am not sure the masseuse are formally trained). I understand the Thai massage on the ground floor is a better choice. Overall, 4 star is about right. 5 stars for location and breakfast, 4 for the rooms and 2 for the spa experience "
"Booked this for 3 nights, two rooms a long time ago.
Basic rooms that cost quite a lot.
The rooms had no windows in. The rooms had a doorset that had a window in. There was nowhere that you could sit in that room and see any view.
The room was advertised as a mountain view. Unless you left the room there was no view. When you were in bed you could only see concrete walls.
I have stayed here before. The owner seemed to think it was because i had an apartment. It was not. I have never booked anywhere, any hotel that does not have a window in a hotel room. It did not state this. There was a window in the door and doorset. This window in the door overlooked the back of a house.
The TV had to be fixed every night, no fridge.
I went onto the ABTA website to ask how to fix the problem. It said to speak to hotel and ask to leave. After one night i offered to pay and leave. The owner said covid everything was expensive and offered me a tiny studio. My husband is 6 foot 2. I honestly dont know how we would have fit in with the suitcases. I just wanted to leave and pay for what we had. The owner would not allow it.
I stayed and paid because it is our holiday. I will not be back. It was dismal. Dreadful. Like a cupboard. This beautiful valley and there was not one place you could sit with a coffee and see any view or i fact any window. I was shocked. But like the owner said ' well you paid for basic'
"
"The room are clean! And the location is really ideal in terms of walkable distance to everywhere i needed to go during my stay. Breakfast spread is also good as well! Staffs were welcoming and courteous. I had a pleasant stay there!"
"The man on reception was super helpful. We were able to leave our luggage after we checked out until we had to get our train. This is on the quieter part of the lake, but that's what we wanted. We didn't take the breakfast option. "
"Spacious room; very clean hotel with helpful staff. This hotel is only steps from Villach Railway Station making it very convenient for train travel."
