This was the most relaxing holiday. The cabin was perfectly clean and had all the facilities we needed and more. The walks were incredible with so much beauty to take in. The hosts were so lovely and helpfy
We had a lovely few days at Bellthorpe stays it was beautiful, peaceful with lots of walks and relaxing in nature. Host Dave is great and welcoming and Dodge the dog was a treat for us animal lovers. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It is was just what we needed a d couldn’t have asked for better.
Bellthorpe is a magical place, a rare treasure that far exceeded our expectations. The birds and other wildlife are amazing. David's evening frog walk was a unique experience, as was the late afternoon storm that transforms the rain forest and the sky. Wendy, David's partner, was a gracious and welcoming host, and an excellent quilter. Our cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The walking trails are fascinating and well marked. And you have them to yourself.
Great getaway, so much wildlife! Great way for a tech ban!
We seen many animals, parrots that ate straight out of my hand.
On our walks enjoyed pythons, and even a couple of deer which was amazing.
We would enjoy our evenings on the deck watching pademelons and even a potaroo.
It was an amazing experience, we went to see Birds, and got them in abundance. Most of them come to the feeders to eat the seeds given to us by Dave, the owner. King parrots, white necked pigeons, red-browed finch, pied butcherbirds, rainbow lorikeets, grey shrike thrush , sulphur
crested cockatoos bar shouldered doves, also in the area around our cottage were Regent Bowerbirds, and Satin Bower birds, we didn't even had to leave or verandah to see these every day. In the forest were Wompoo pigeons, Olive backed Orioles, varigated weeks, currawongs, rufous and grey fantails, catbirds. It is a bird watchers paradise. They have more of course walking tracks, through rain forests and other areas, waterfalls. I can't praise it enough. The owners Dave and Wendy are very friendly and helpful, they have brought this once pasture and treeless farm, back to what it once was and given us an opportunity to stay there and enjoy it as it was meant to be.
This property is exactly as described and then some. The cabin is neat as a pin and has everything you need. The owners (Wendy & Dave) are responsive, helpful and kind. They make sure your stay is totally comfortable. I can't say enough about the scenery, sunrises and hikes. The best part though? The loads of birds visiting the deck! If you are a birder, you will enjoy the daily visits, plus all the birds you will spie on your early morning hikes. We can't wait to visit again!
