"The kid at check in couldn't answer any questions other than how to get a clean towel. Our room was clean with a great lake view. We did not use the pool. Good location. Breakfast was minimal."

"Great place to lay your head. The down size was the breakfast and no ice machine. The other reviews were exaggerating, thought I was going to go in a horror movie. The stay was great you get what you pay for. I was pleased with the stay."

"Fine price, great location, very nice staff. However room was alway damp, despite us running AC and sometimes opening window. Very smart room with everything you need and clever storage with the remodel. But saunas outside seem to be a waste of time...there was thistle and weeds growing thru the deck. Need the staff to pull some weeds during down time. Mostly I was looking for a place to sit and read a book in the sun and that was not to be found. Nice popcorn maker served in evenings and free smore kits....for when we started our own fire each of the 3 nights."

"This hotel has a fantastic location right non Lake Superior. We had a lakeside room and the view was amazing. Enjoyed sitting on the lake after dinner in Grand Marais. Sunrise was amazing! The staff had opened the breakfast early for us as we were leaving for Superior Hiking Trail early in th emorning. Will book again!"
