About this property

Flatirons View Home Near Sundance Festival - Private Main Floor, Boulder

  • 3 bedrooms | 3 private en-suite baths + powder room | sleeps 6 | private entrance and easy parking

Escape the festival crowds in this fully renovated, warm, peaceful home with the Flatirons glowing outside. Our newly renovated home sits at the end of a quiet street, surrounded by open space, with trail access at the end of the driveway. You're just 15 minutes from downtown Boulder, where the festival venues are, and close to CU Boulder's campus. The airport (DIA) is an easy ride, and Louisville and Lafayette are nearby for more great dinners. Boulder gets about 300 days of sunshine a year, so even in January you might find yourself playing tennis or pickleball on the private court.

    The heart of the house

The kitchen opens into a vaulted-ceiling great room flooded with natural light, with picture windows facing west toward the mountains. Cook together (the kitchen is fully stocked), pull up a stool at the four-seat island, then carry the evening into the dining room, where a table for eight means everyone can sit down together. When it's time to unwind, the large wall-mounted TV is ready for movie night or a look at the day's reviews.

    Sleeping

Every bedroom has its own private full bathroom, a rare luxury when you're sharing with colleagues or friends for ten days of early mornings and late nights. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and the third has a queen pullout couch that doubles as a sitting room or quiet workspace. There is an additional office if you need a workspace.

    Outdoors
A south-facing deck overlooks the private tennis court, perfect for coffee in the winter sun, and an east-side patio looks out over open space for a quiet start to the morning. Walk up the driveway and you'll find a gate that opens right onto the trails, ready for a walk or a cross-country ski before the first screening.

    Your space, our home

This is our primary residence, and we’re sharing it with you for the festival. You’ll find some of our belongings throughout the home, but we’ve cleared space for yours, so you can settle in comfortably. The entire main floor is yours for the length of your stay, with your own entrance and parking for privacy.

    Renovated, solar, and green
We renovated this house top to bottom, and it's fully electric and solar-powered, with an induction stove that's fast, clean, and a pleasure to cook on.

    What you'll love

    • Solar power with battery backup, so the lights stay on
    • Heated bathroom floors, a small luxury on cold winter days
    • Fast internet with a backup connection, so filmmakers, press, and remote workers stay online between screenings
