Newly renovated, but still with its original charm, this 1848 village colonial has been updated and shows her glory with gorgeous hardwoods, fresh paint, comfortable and stylish décor that reflects the relaxed and beach town style of Cohasset. It has a fabulous third floor suite and a location that can't be beat! Be on your boat and on the water one street over, bike to Sandy Beach in minutes or enjoy Cohasset Village without ever getting in your car. Peek a boo views of the Harbor from the top two floors, private back yard with a glass 4 season porch. A rare property in a beautiful and desirable part of Cohasset just off Atlantic Avenue in a family neighborhood. The location offers you tranquility while being central to all Cohasset has to offer! This property boasts 2271 sq./ft. of living and sleeps 8 comfortably with 3 bedrooms (king, queen and 3rd floor loft space with two queen beds that are perfect for kids/teens and open living. The third floor also has a large walk in closet that will have a twin size cot available if needed. There are bathrooms on all three floors (first floor half bath, second floor full bath and third floor full bath.). There is a large laundry room in the second floor with washer/dryer and a cedar closet for storage of sheets, blankets and towels. The kitchen has everything that you would need for your stay in this inviting home. There is an open floor plan (see attached) with living, kitchen and dining room —all leading into the four season atrium. There is also a cozy sitting room with fireplace and couch. So much natural light to sit and sip your coffee or read a book. The entire front of the home has a beautiful deck with several sitting areas and a grill. Perfect for entertaining or a large family gathering. The front yard has enough room for corn hole, frisbee, badminton or relaxing on Adirondack chairs. The property is walking distance to restaurants/bar, boutiques, coffee shops, bagel shop, a yoga studio, nail salon, Atlantica, Bia's, 5 South Main, French Memories, Salty Days, Red Lion Inn, yacht and sailing clubs, and Cohasset lobster pound. The house is a block from the town docks where you can launch paddle boards and kayaks —all visible from the house.
The house is fewer than 20 miles to Boston and a short distance to Hingham Shipyard and several commuter rail stations.
Cohasset also hosts an incredible non-profit venue for live music and the arts called “Music Circus”. It is a bit over a mile from our home. The tent only hold a bit over 2,000 people so it is quite intimate. We would highly recommend taking advantage of this treasure. www.themusiccircus.org

The home is wonderful in every way! My family particularly enjoyed the sun room and use of the well stocked kitchen. I would absolutely stay here again.
Highly recommend Ann-Marie and Michael’s beautiful home in Cohasset. The home is well-equipped with all the amenities you may need throughout your stay. We loved sitting outside on big deck for our morning coffee.
The home was the perfect place for a group of 5! Well appointed, quiet neighborhood and so close to many restaurants and shopping. The hosts were always quick to respond to questions and ensured our needs were met. Thank you!
We had a great visit to Cohasset! Michael’s house is very welcoming and comfortable. Great location right near town and they were great hosts! We hope to return.
I fell in love with the house, room for everyone and then some! Everything was perfect from the mattresses to the super comfy couches. Unbelievable location walk to town or the harbor. Ann-Marie and Michael were fantastic hosts and very accommodating. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or a get together with friends and family this is the house you want!
We had an absolutely delightful few days in Cohasset and surrounding area. Michael’s home was perfect for our group of five, both in terms of bedrooms and common spaces. It is situated a short and pleasant walk from town and within quick driving distance of lovely beaches and shopping opportunities. Yet it is close enough to Boston to allow a quick trip there as needed. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
Pictures didn’t do the place justice! Beautiful home with charm and extremely quiet. Walking distance to downtown Cohasset was perfect. Food was fantastic with plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommend if you are looking for quiet and peaceful evenings
We had a great stay in Cohasset. The VRBO is well decorated, light and airy, and very clean. The furniture is comfortable. We loved the sunroom which was great for reading and playing games. The large dining table sat 8 (or maybe 10, I can’t remember). The location is good for walking to the downtown or for driving to the beach. Very close to the harbor. When I had a question the owner was easy to reach and very helpful.
The home was very comfortable for our needs over a family wedding weekend. The proximity to town allowed everyone to leisurely walk for coffee and meals. Michael and Anne Marie gave us lots of suggestions for activities and places to explore. They are wonderful hosts.
We hope to be back!
This is a beautiful home that is well cared for, clean, organized and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to the harbor and into Cohasset village. The hosts were so accommodating, even leaving us a fresh bag of coffee and case of waters. The bedrooms were a great size with comfortable beds and bedding. We loved our time at the house and would love to stay here again.
We loved everything about our stay in this charming house and in the lovely town of Cohasset. We had a wonderful family wedding at the red lion in town and visited different places in Cohasset. Had breakfast at the French café and had lovely weather. I would call that perfect!
This property is a great vacation spot in an adorable little town. It is also a perfect launching spot for trips to Boston, Salem, Plymouth and the Cape. With atleast 4 adorable coffee shops, a French bakery "French Memories " and fantastic restaurants (Red Lion) within walking distance we could have stayed here the whole time. We loved reading with coffee in the cozy window space daily and relaxing with wine and fresh local bread and butter on the deck. We had an amazing time on the East coast, many memories made.
1848 Village Colonial house was awesome! The historical elements of the house and surrounding village are outstanding. The upgrades to the house, and ammenaties are wonderfull. Much appriciated full sized washer & dryer, extra wide ironing board, cleaning supplies. I think we spent most of our time in the 3 season room with it's beautiful backyard, and wildlife running around, (while in the house). The village area is an easy walk. Beautiful old world fishing village with many shops, and local places to eat. I only wish we had a few more days to spend, and explore.
Beautiful comfortable New England home in the coastal community of Cohasset. We stayed here for 3 amazing nights in August 2025. Ann-Marie and Michael were perfect hosts. We had easy contact with them at any time and they were able to answer all of my questions. The home is just as described if not better! Plenty of room, very comfortable beds, bathrooms were updated and clean , fully stocked kitchen, within walking distance to the water ( beaches required some driving) and about .5-1 mile walk to the little center with great restaurants and shops. We grilled out back and made big breakfasts in the kitchen. We had dinner at Salty Days Fish Co., Bia Bistro and The Red Lion Inn. We charted a boat thru the Boatbooker app. Wayne was the captain of his boat “After Hours” Boat Tours and took 4 of us around the harbor and into the North/South rivers of Scituate where we dropped anchor and had our picnic lunch with Sandwich’s from The Barrel . It was the perfect get away even though we were only 12.6 miles from home! We would definitely vacation here again even for just a quick weekend getaway ! See for yourself and rent this charming property Thank you Ann-Marie and Michael
We had a fantastic nearly weeklong stay and all loved it (ages 10-70+). The house was clean, airy and really comfortable for everyone to be in the same area without being on top of one other. Beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were aplenty. The outdoor seating was especially enjoyable in the afternoon. If you’re lucky, you can catch sight of a little bunny hopping in the yard.
As for the town, Cohasset is adorable. People are friendly. Cars are accommodating for pedestrians and cyclists alike. So walking into town for delicious French pastries and good coffee was a great way to start every morning (less than 10 minutes), and the bike ride to Sandy Beach (about 5 minutes) filled our afternoons. There are enough restaurants in town to rotate through without repeating, which was an added bonus.
Michael was incredibly responsive with questions. So between the house, the location, the town, the beach … our vacation was fantastic!
This was a beautiful property-inside and out. Proximity to Boston was a plus! Lovely and comfortable. Wonderful messaging with the owner too. We loved our stay.
