We love this hotel and stay there whenever we're in Boston. It's very convenient to several restaurants we like, as well as the subway and the Museum of Fine Arts.

Clean and friendly staffs. I love staying in this historic hotel to learn more culture and history of Boston. Very outstanding and unique experience. Safe and convenient to get to subway, shopping, dining.

Construction directly in front of hotel was not disclosed at booking. We would not have paid additional money for a front facing Cooley Square view room… when in fact there was no Cooley Square to actually view. Extremely disappointing. Also due to a “mechanical” issue with our room, we were not allowed to gain access to our room until well after 7pm. Not great after a long journey from the West Coast.

There is a beautiful grand lobby and the property was quiet so I can sleep well despite being on the first level close to the streets. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect spot. My only critique would be the size of the bathrooms. Granted it’s an old hotel but the tiny bathroom is difficult to manage even for one person

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff made me feel welcomed and familiar. The food at the restaurant was superb as was the room service.
And then there was CORI the canine ambassador…what can I sey, simply adorable!

Beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of Boston, with outstanding service. The room was larger than average, with comfortable beds and very clean. The staff, from valet to restaurant provided outstanding service. We highly recommend!

Lovely hotel with exceptional staff who were gracious and helpful. With the exception of one bell hop upon my departure. He wouldn’t let me use take the luggage cart outside to the sidewalk to load my car so I had to carry my belongings from the vestibule to the sidewalk.

The hotel is a classic beach, the staff friendly with impeccable service attitudes! Door man was wonderful offering us directions and quaint conversation as we waited for our car. Oak Long Bar is classy and has great cocktails.

There was no hot water for showers. Terrible experience. Will not recommend anyone to stay.

Pillows were so so bad. My body and neck hurt with two sleepless night.
Bed is hard too.
Girl at the front desk looked like she was being punished at work. No smile.
The doorman pretty much ignored me when I have no suitcase to give him.
There was a time people would smile but I guess now they only smile with a twenty dollar tip. He never opened the door for me. Would not matter but I had a frozen shoulder and used my back to open and he sort of just watched.
Wow. America really needs to get back to being better.
