The Property was charming and clean. It was close to Harvard Square and the Campus at a reasonable price. The owner was reachable and helped out with questions. It was very warm when we arrived and the A/C was not working. Opening the windows and with couple of portable fans helped to cool down. Kitchen was nice and clean.
Comfortable, well stocked and quiet apartment. Great view of rowers on the Charles. Only about a 10 minute walk to the T in Harvard Square. Off street parking is a huge bonus. Driveway is tight and it could be a problem if there were several cars, but not for us as we mostly left the car. There are two flights of stairs, but they are well lit and manageable.
. . . . entered the apartment and the neighborhood was not only friendly yet also beautiful. Really nice floors and balconies! I used televisions for education on YouTube and enjoyed the view as meditation.
This rental was not as pictured. The building is old, and the unit is up three flights of stairs. It was over 90°F when we arrived, and instead of central AC (as implied), there were portable AC units in every room. They were loud, inefficient, and couldn’t keep the unit cool. The living room AC had a homemade hose setup that ended up leaking all over the kitchen we had to clean it with the limited towels provided (only five total, including just one small hand towel for the bathroom).
There were no cleaning supplies or paper towels, and overall the unit felt unclean and worn down. The “water view” was almost entirely blocked by trees. This was my first trip to Boston and, unfortunately, it started off on the wrong foot. I wouldn’t recommend this rental. Thankfully, the rest of our trip was at another property
Also host provided us entry instruction just under an hour before we arrived and I had to ask them for it… Not my usual rental experience.
The space was so nice and warm, especially for December in Boston. The bed was so comfortable that we had no problems sleeping, and we are chronic insomniacs. It has off street parking and is close enough to Harvard Square that you can walk to everything there. This is definitely going to be our regular stay when we visit again.
Definitely mold, one guest who had a mold allergy couldn’t breathe properly there. Old contact lenses and nose ring were left from previous guests. You block other tenants in the off street parking so if someone needs to get out, you have to get back from the city to move your car. Heat definitely did not work. Only positive was the location,
Location, Location, Location! We stayed here for a concert at the Garden, walked to dinner in Harvard Square and then took the T into the Garden. I would stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay here for a football weekend. The location (easy walk to Harvard Square) was a highlight, and it was a good value. Note that as the host mentions, it is an older building and so it has some quirks, particularly the stairs which might not be great for folks who have mobility issues. We'll seek this place out again if in the area.
It looked nothing like the photos. I did not even feel comfortable touching anything. There was no visible trash, but the place still felt dirty.

The apartment was in a great location. Walking distance to Harvard Square. The beds need new mattresses. Need places to put your luggage. The sitting room was inadequate for five people. The stairs to the unit was challenging. The heating unit did not work so the manager brought over three space heaters. Glad we only stayed there for only one night. Would not recommend for a family.
The construction around the property was very problematic during our stay as well as the property parking. There was an area but needed to share with other renters in which if you wanted to get out you needed to contact them to move their vehicle. The beds were very comfortable but a safety hazard for lower legs if you hit frame because the mattress and frame don’t match. One room did not have AC, cracked windows, back balcony unsafe, tvs very difficult to use, dishwasher did not work.It was nice to have washer and dryer that worked. The accomdations needed some freshening up with paint and repairs. The location was great for walking around and watching activity on river.
The furniture is old as seen in the pictures and the rooms are a bit musty but clean. It’s not possible to open all of the windows. At our stay the dishwasher didn’t work and the water leaked out if the air conditioner. But the host was very friendly. He wanted to repair the devices.

Meh…..
Apartment is decent, well kept/ maintained, and in a good location. Unfortunately when you’re paying over 200/night, you like there to be hangers in the closets, the ceiling lights in the master bedroom not to be blown/ not working, and for the exhaust fan in the bathroom to work. All of which is acceptable if you’re paying under 125/ night. But not acceptable at over 200/ night
