Walking in the room or someone walking upstairs or in staircase can produce loud noises from loosened wood structures. Kitchen was not adequately cleaned. Countertop still had marks left from uncleaned dish plates. The dish rack was partly rusted. Cooktop, coffee maker, frig, etc. were all in good working condition, but not enough cooking utensils were available. It's a two-bedroom apartment, but I was the only one staying there this time and my demands were very minimal. "Harvard Square two block" can be misleading. It's a solid ten minutes walk. It's an old building and there is definitely some upkeep needed. The kitchen is missing quite a few things. For instance, there was one bowl. We made it work, but there should be more going on in a VRBO kitchen. The location is FANTASTIC! This was our first visit to Boston and felt like we were able to get anywhere we wanted in a short amount of time. I had heard about traffic nightmares in Boston, but that just wasn't the case while we were there. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they close down Memorial Drive on Sundays (in the summer) to traffic allowing people to run, walk, ride bikes, rollerblade, etc on this four lane road for a little over a mile. I had my bike with me and took advantage of this. On one occasion, we needed to reach out to Mike. Upon check in, we noticed that towels were provided, but no washcloths. By that evening, we had a bunch of BRAND NEW washcloths and hand towels. That was an impressive response! ##### Todd S.
