Welcome to Casa del Carnero - Your Country Club Desert Oasis!

This spacious three-bedroom home is the perfect blend of nostalgia and relaxation. This comfortable retro retreat is located on beautiful De Anza Country Club, with great golf course and mountain views. Close proximity to town, golf, tennis, mountains, hiking, bike riding, wildlife viewing, stargazing, and more. You may even be treated with a visit from the local mountain sheep grazing on the golf course. This custom estate is filled with character and offers all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Originally built as a custom golf course estate, this spacious home boasts over 3,000 sq foot of living space on an acre lot with a gorgeous backyard pool with waterfall, spacious en-suite Master Bedroom 1 with a king sized bed, 2nd Master Bedroom with two queen sized beds and en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a third bedroom/den with a king sized bed, sofabed, and office space. An additional powder room in the main hallway adds convenience for guests staying in the den. Kitchen boasts an eat-in area, wood block island, original built-in Sub Zero refrigerator with ice maker, Thermador stovetop, double oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and complimentary coffee station. Backyard oasis features a private pool and several patios to enjoy outdoor dining and lounging. Fully furnished home captures original vintage-era flair with a sunken living room, tray ceilings, retro wet bar, formal dining room, vintage high-end appliances, and beautiful private portico entrance. We welcome long-term guests! Please contact host directly to negotiate your long-term stay discount. Disclosures: For young families, pool does not have its own fence perimeter, but pool is located inside a fully fenced back yard. Large and immaculate home on golf course

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Grilled while overlooking the tenth fairway. Swam twice a day in pool. Large rooms and well appointed.

Private relaxing location

The home is luxurious, well maintained and well supplied. Although you back to the golf course, it has a very private backyard with lovely pool. Relaxing strolls through a beautiful trees neighborhood with lots of wildlife. Very quiet location too. .

A nice, spacious and comfortable home.

We have stayed in six different properties in Borrego Springs over the last 15 years with mixed experiences. I would recommend this property for adults and families with older kids who are clean and well behaved as the carpeting is white and could be easily stained. This property is conveniently located and has ample parking. There are plenty of beds and the layout is nice and worked well for our group of six. The neighborhood and house are both very quiet and peaceful. The owner/ manager is very nice, responsive and flexible. Check in is easy and since the house was ready early, she let us check in early. All of the appliances and systems worked well and there were no problems. Recommended

Family Reunion with many coming from the colder climates. Everyone loved the house and Borrego Springs. Such a great place to hang out. There are so many nice gathering spaces inside and out. De Anza is a great place for walks. Great equipped kitchen, with everything you need. Comfortable beds and ping pong in the garage!

Fathers Day

My family of 10 have been going to Borrego Springs for 6 years and this will be our 2nd. stay in this wonderful home. It is large enough for all of us to have room to spread out but most of our time is spent at the pool and patio. Love the pool perfect depth for fun. Patio has a nice outdoor fan which we definitely used. Borrego Springs was VERY hot this weekend but the house was cool and a nice relief from the heat. Hopefully we are able to return next year for another fun filled Fathers Day.

This is our 5th year celebrating in Borrego Springs and we love this home the best. Our family loved the retro house. The pool was fantastic and the yard was perfect. Such a nice big house with a lot of room for all 10 of us. Would recommend this house for anyone that’s staying in Borrego. The owner was kind and considerate and provided the perfect house.

We enjoyed the Red Ocotillo and Bid Horn pub. The desert art was fun and amazing. Worth the trip to experience the evening stars. Rachel Franklin, our host, was the best. House had a great floor plan sleeping eight very comfortably.

Best Borrego Springs Choice!

Look no further. You have found the home to enjoy a lovely vacation. The amenities in the home are countless. The square footage gives plenty of opportunities for "your own space" and yet also, several areas for group gatherings, comfortably! We are thrilled to have found our "forever stay" in Borrego Springs. Being ebike enthusiasts, we are always looking for a "ride" directly from a driveway. "Found It" We averaged 20 miles a day...and never entered our cars for an entire week. And Rachael, our host...OVER and BEYOND with questions and needs! Needless to say...WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

Worst rental ever

Our stay was awful , pictures on ad was not what we experienced, we were unable to use pool since it was so dirty , and water Fountain we were told not to used since it had not been clean in months , pool was full of roaches and bugs , patio furniture old and dirty with no futons to sit on it , photos on Vrbo are too old , house does not look the same no sutible accommodations , it felt like we had rented an old hotel , even though host responded and tried to accommodate us better nothing worked for us , at first she made me feel like I was lying since I was questioned when I text her regarding dirty pool and requested pictures , however I felt like she thought I was lying , since her response was , she never had prior complains till now , like I’m a troubled maker , I rented houses from the past 4 years different house never had such a bad experience , we actually left did not stay the 2nd night as we didn’t want to be there any longer ,there was a mouse under refrigerator so we got really disgusted and scare , I hate mice , overall we were not happy from our first night stay but we tried to work with it , but it got so uncomfortable that after that we decided to leave since there were to many problems that did not make us feel good but disgusted and disappointed, I will never go back to this property , I do however thanks the host for trying to work with us but did not do enough to help us stay and be happy in our mini vacation

Lots of Space for Family of 7

Our group was 5 adults and 2 kids and we were very comfortable. The house was clean, there was plenty of space, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The pool isn’t heated but there is the option to get it heated for an extra fee. Unfortunately, we found out the pool heater wasn’t working properly after we arrived so we couldn’t swim. Rachel tried her best to get it fixed but the pool guy and electrician couldn’t fix it in time. We still enjoyed the house overall but it really would have been amazing to be in a warm pool and star gaze. The location is close to everything. We had a fun hike, saw the sculptures, explored the town, and took the kids to the new local library and park. We recommend Rachel’s place for bigger groups and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic property

This house was exceptional. It really does not have mountain views, except limited out the front, but it is otherwise represented well and located on a quiet neighborhood at De Anza and has a wonderful relaxing back yard. The rooms are expansive, beds very comfortable, and the kitchen well appointed. Great for entertaining with large living room and dining room. Golf for our stay was only for club members due to irrigation issues and only 9 holes available. That is being remedied and should change in the near future I think. Just something to know if golf is important to visits (it was not for us). Communication with the owner was wonderful and prompt. We would definitely stay here again.
