The holiday apartment Hilary House is located in Valdottavo, just a few kilometers from Lucca, and is perfect for an unforgettable vacation with your loved ones. The 60 m² property consists of a living room with a large sofa bed (one and a half size), a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom, and can therefore accommodate up to 4 people. The property features air conditioning and a comfortable balcony overlooking the lively village square. The village is surrounded by green hills, in a strategic position to visit art cities such as Lucca and Pisa, seaside destinations like Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, and all of Versilia, as well as famous spa centers like Montecatini Terme and Bagni di Lucca. The property offers free street parking in front of the house. Families with children are welcome; a crib and a high chair can be provided on request. One pet is allowed. Smoking and parties are not permitted. The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessible via a flight of stairs with private access and entrance. Liked: Location, listing accuracy

We stayed here for a friend’s wedding in Italy. While the location was ideal, we were very disappointed with some basics. The fridge and freezer were turned off on arrival, taking over a day to cool in 39C heat, so we had no cold food or drinks. There was barely a full roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, the gas for cooking had been turned off at the mains, and the air conditioning remote didn’t work because the batteries were dead—again, not ideal in such heat.These are essentials you’d expect in a holiday rental, and it was frustrating to deal with them. The property has potential, but attention to these basics is really needed.
