"The social hub Porto was well located in the centre of the city, easy to get to from the airport with taxi and metro if you choose to. The staff were helpful and friendly, our room was clean and quite spacious for European hotels. Also the check out being 12 was lovely for a final day lie in and the free luggae storage was great for exploring on the final day before a late flight home Overall quite a unique style of hotel with the rooftop bar and relaxed but stylish feel 10/10 would recommend this hotel to anyone."

"We were super impressed with this hotel as a base for our Porto trip. The studio that we stayed in was spacious and really well appointed with calm and modern decor. We had a large balcony which overlooked the terrace which we really appreciated. The staff were wonderful; always ready with a smile and a pot of steamed milk for our morning coffee. The neighborhood is not touristy at all which comes with its benefits although it isn’t the most picturesque. We didn’t mind this at all and enjoyed our morning stroll to local bakeries (special mention to Brites for amazing bread and pastries!). It’s a 15 minute walk down to Trinidade metro station which links to the airport but only 4-5 minutes to Marques metro station for more local stops. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Obrigada"

However, just beware that street noise can be overwhelming at night if light sleeper. Also, no real city views except ancient buildings across the street."

"As a solo traveller the Editory Boulevard Aliados Hotel was perfectly situated in the heart of Porto. I took the metro from the airport to Trindade Station which took 32 minutes then I walked downhill for about 5 minutes and I reached the hotel which is next door to Burberry and Todd’s. I didn’t have to taxi anywhere as I was able to see everything “on foot”. Porto’s main train station, São Bento is less than 5 minutes walk away which is very useful if you wish to take a day trip to Aveira “the Venice of Portugal”. The main shopping street is about 5 minutes walk away, the river is about 10 minutes walk away (downhill ) and there are an abundance of lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is lovely. The foyer smells divine. My room was beautifully appointed and looked just like the photographs shown on Expedia. A large bottle of water is provided as a courtesy every day. The staff are very friendly and when I reported that my coffee machine was leaking, it was fixed / replaced immediately. I highly recommend this lovely hotel in the centre of Porto. Thank you to the staff for making me feel so welcome."

"Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean and spacious. Bed mattress rock hard and pillows too soft and unsupportive. Housekeeping staff excellent. Location isn’t ‘downtown’ as the name suggests, it’s quite a walk to reach the main shopping and restaurant areas. Uber taxis are very reasonable. Overall our stay was ok, helped by the excellent cleanliness and large room, however this is a greedy hotel where there is a cost to absolutely everything they can think of charging for, which leaves a bitter taste when paying a lot for the room."
