"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was too soft for my liking and I found it uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a nice room. The hotel is a little run down in places but it has a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection of food. We did have to wait for food to be replenished which was a bit disappointing."

"Dusty room in areas. Rubbish behind bedside cabinet. Couldn’t get to plug easily to charge my phone as it was behind the cabinet and when pulled out there was thick dust and rubbish behind it. No deep clean for a long time. Dirty windows, old cobwebs around it. Pool was not in use so very disappointed as we had stayed there for this reason. "

"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"Well located, room was clean and bed was very large and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent which was a great start to the day. I must give a special mention to Dave the night porter. He was always warm and welcoming and ready with a joke or two. If you get the opportunity you must get him to show you some magic; he is a cracking little magician. We will certainly return."

"The manager was so helpful regarding an earlier check in …nothing was too much trouble.. very kind and felt he had a great customer care attitude.howeverI did feel that his colleague called liz was very rude towards him ..no engagement towards us or another couple she was rolling her eyes and had no interest ..one man show well done very appreciative for his help.room lovely great location"

"Room was great overall. ( no view, but i wasnt there for that). Clean, comfy bed, good water pressure bar staff were 98% great, food was cracking with large portions and a decent quality. Breakfast options and delivery was excellent. Thursday evenings are quiz night so make sure you book a table for dining if you want to do that. I just managed to get a table. I'd stay again."
