"Great property with fabulous, well kept rooms and lovely staff. A great pool area and lots of activities for families as well as a nice play area. Breakfast not so great sadly, eggs were green, bread and pastries were stale and hard, even juice was bitter and acidic. Sadly no vegetarian food at the restaurant last night either so, have left hungry… but it was a really nice hotel. If you’re not bothered about food, it’s definitely worth the stay!"

Sea Bass for two, asparagus stuffed with pickled quail….two menu items you must try but all is great. We were treated to taste the families own wine, a blend of 90% Tempranillo & 10% Viura & it was delicious…Daniel is quite passionate about the family “hobby”. Zarraton is a sleepy village but not far to travel through rolling hills of the Rioja to explore, taste great wine, and enjoy the historical significance of the area. Our room was clean & comfortable. The staff were all about service! There are many spots to sit enjoy a book or sip a nice glass of wine. We got a special tour of the family winery and the caves and absorb the passion they put into it. Hoping to return to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Muchas Gracias!"

"The location of the resort is a little out the way from anything but its only a short drive to Haro and Casalarreina is even closer. There was no wifi in the cabin, which was extremely disappointing given we needed to stay connected easily due to work. There was communal wifi in shared areas, and upon closer inspection the resort advertised “wifi throughout the site”, but not having access in cabins is really poor. We asked at reception and got given a different network to join but had no luck with this from our cabin either. The pool is absolutely freezing, which is such a shame because its part of the reason that we booked to stay here with a child. I understand water may not be heated. Unfortunately it meant that we couldnt use it other than dipping our feet to cool down because it was such an unpleasant temperature. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast which was included in the price (a nice touch)."

The rooms were very comfortable and the restaurant has a fantastic menu and wine list offering many wines from smaller wineries not widely available in the US.
