Had a very nice stay at this house, which was pretty much as advertised. Stunning sunset views over Bodega Bay. The house was clean and pretty well-equipped for our needs. Appreciated the spice rack in the kitchen and the pool table in the garage, and the DVD of "The Birds", which we never got around to watching. Some minor quirks and annoyances prevented leave it short of a 5-star review, including the tub in the master bath that wouldn't fill because of a leaky stopper and the ADT alarm panel that was lit up all night long right next to the bed. As someone else noted, the mattresses are hard. AT&T cell coverage is poor, but Verizon is OK; wifi is solid. And it's surprisingly hard to ventilate the place. But we had a really positive experience overall and would consider a return visit in the future. ##### John T. Directions to the garage parking was not provided and had to figure that out on our own. We had to find an unmarked narrow driveway that wound behind a number of homes. Also, beds and bedding were average/uncomfortable at best. We were directed to use the alarm system but it was not activated when we arrived. There were only a few extra paper towels in the garage but not many and no napkins at all. 3\. There were no bathmats for the showers. We used some towels because there was nothing else. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I made reservations for a different house through VRBO, which sent me to TurnkKey Vacation Rentals for further booking & processing. I was sent an email saying they charged my card the full amount but the house that I chose was canceled. They charged my card the full amount of the weekend stay just one day previous. Then canceled the house we chose the following day. This was 30 days prior to our arrival. I was sent an email to choose a replacement house which gave me three options. Only one house (the one we chose) was comparable. The other two were well below the price that we were already charged. Very unprofessional and shady of VRBO/TurnKey to do. Not to mention very stressful. The house we originally chose was on a golf course with lots of open grass fields just at the doorstep for kids to run and within walking distance to the beach. The house we were given the option to stay at (the only somewhat comparable house) was 5 minutes drive to the beach and not on the golf course but we felt we were forced to pick this. The house we were referred to had stairs which was not safe for our almost one year old baby. But otherwise we ended up loving the house. It was very clean with beautiful views. Reviewer Comments: The location of the house was very accessible to the bay and small town of Bodega Bay. It’s close to the many good restaurants in the Bay area. The view from the main family area shows both the bay and ocean views with beautiful sun sets. The house was exceptionally clean which in this current era was comforting. Unfortunately the dryer in the house didn’t work but we were compensated in a rent reduction which was very much appreciated. Upon arrival the lock code didn’t work so I called the staff for help. They were very responsive and we set a new code and we were good to go. As with any stay things don’t always work perfectly but the staff was always helpful. I would stay at this house again and would recommend it based on my positive experience. ##### Thomas C. Tv’s were shown in all bedrooms but none worked. AC was advertised but nonexistent; fortunately did not need it. Bedsheets we’re low quality. Good view, decent house. Bad internet is totally unacceptable in this day and age. Owner knew it was deficient by notes posted. It was not a general outage but one specific to this property.
