We no longer allow quick turns (guests arrive on the same day as last guest depart) between rentals. Our minimum is 28 hours between rentals to allow extra time for cleaning/sanitation. We follow CDC guidelines which includes wiping down all commonly touched surfaces including lockbox, door knobs, light switches, TV controls, bath and kitchen fixtures, etc. Every countertop is disinfected with a spray sanitizer and allowed to air dry. We, of course, leave it up to the guests to follow their own guidelines as far as masks, social distancing, etc. About a 10 minute walk to the beach! A single level house situated on a quarter acre lot with great privacy. The kitchen has been recently remodeled and is equipped for serious cooking. Comfortably furnished home with new Hot Springs hot tub and loungers on the large deck offering views of the ocean and Bodega Head. Mandolin Wind is ideally laid out for two couples or a small family. Generous master suite has a king-sized bed, private bath and 36" TV. The guest bedroom has queen-sized bed, 36" TV and adjacent bath. Top quality linens, hair dryers, washer/dryer, ironing board/iron are all provided. The kitchen includes a great gas stove for the cook, slab granite counter tops and new stainless steel appliances, including a wine refrigerator. Next to the well-equipped kitchen is the dining area, which comfortably seats six. You will also find a wonderful selection of cook books and elegant artwork throughout the house. The large living room features a gas fireplace, high ceilings, 50" HD TV and DVD player with internet connection. There are many windows and sliding door leading to the deck with hot tub and lots of space for relaxing. There is a Weber gas BBQ and table for outdoor dining. Mandolin Wind has a high speed internet connection via Comcast cable to accommodate people who want to get away but have to stay connected. There is a wireless router to allow use of all your internet devices. You can enjoy a round of world-class golf, then have dinner in the Club House overlooking the ocean. There are sliding glass doors out to the spa from the master bedroom and also the living area. Later on, watch the sunset from the private hot tub, while enjoying a glass of local Sonoma County wine; you will live out on the deck! Bodega Bay is a quiet, secluded, peaceful sanctuary, yet only 55 miles from the sophisticated City of San Francisco. Hiking and bike trails abound to explore the rugged coastline. Enjoy a walk around Bodega Head or take the Pinnacle Gulch trail, which leads directly down to the beach. There are many local activities in Bodega Bay, Bodega, Sonoma, Petaluma and Sebastopol, such as the Fisherman's Festival and wineries in all directions. We are so fortunate to have many excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive, including Blue Water Bistro, our own clubhouse restaurant, Lucas Wharf and The Tides, and we can now boast of a Michelin one-star restaurant, Terrapin Creek. It was well stocked with soaps, shampoo and body lotions. The beds were comfortable with pillows galore. (A couple of softer sleeping pillows would have been a welcome addition). There were grouse (I looked them up in the Audubon Bird Book that was provided) to greet us out front in the mornings and the deer in the backyard were a nice touch. It was everything we expected, the house was clean, BBQ was brand new, fridge and ice maker worked perfectly. Spa was also working fine. The place is quiet, we used it to visit San Francisco and travel time to downtown is about 1h. You can find a store in Bodega Bay called Diekmann's Bay Store, they had all our need for our stay. The only remark we could do is the washer and dryer could be upgraded, they worked ok, they are just old. ##### Thierry J. The property is a spacious, clean and and nicely furnished single-level house in a quiet hillside neighborhood with views of the ocean and surrounding countryside. Self check-in was a breeze with clear instructions, and the hosts provided plenty of helpful sightseeing and dining information. Easy driving to the wine country, or just relax on the large back deck. Kitchen is very well equipped, including a "lending library" wine chiller. Having a king bed and a garage were real plusses. Easy-to-operate TV setup, too. A-plus all the way! ##### Robert F. We got there just before sunset and the first thing we did was get in the back deck sauna and watch the sunset. Robes supplied were perfect. The beds are very comfortable. We took day trips to Armstrong redwoods, and Tomales Bay and this property is centrally located to those locations. The kitchen was clean and up-to-date. The gas fireplace is easy to use. The bathrooms were also clean. My husband and I did not want to leave when it was time to check out. The only two things I would note is there wasn't a champaign stopper and the hot tub seemed a little heavy on the chemical treatment. Overall, very nice property. ##### carlyn m. Fro the moment we arrived at Mandolin Wind we were impressed with the location and beauty of this place. The house was well stocked with most everything you could need for a great getaway. The kitchen could use a wine foil cutter, a pair of scissors, and a few plastic bowls, but was otherwise well stocked. The deck and hot tub were a great place to relax, and the gas grill was great. It is conveniently located to the town of Bogega Bay and the beautiful coastline. We were a bit disappointed with the TV stations that were available. most everything we would have liked to watch was unavailable and needed an upgrade to the service. We tried to watch HGTV with no luck, and would really have liked to see some of the Olympic Trials, but we couldn't access any of those stations. Mostly just basic TV channels, but we made due. The bed was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book the Mandolin Wind again in the future. ##### Renee F.
