The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the pool table, fire pit, and barbecue are all great bonuses.The location, just about a hundred meters from the beach, is perfect. Everyone loved the home, the location was perfect, the views were amazing, and we really enjoyed the pool table! We loved how close to the beach it was. Superb upgrade in adding what used to be the garage game room into the house proper with a new TV, awesome lounges and all. The view of the ocean is amazing from the house. We enjoyed being able to walk to Portuguese Beach and stroll through the quiet neighborhood, play pool, etc. Overall a very comfortable place to stay. The host was great with communication and was very helpful when I had a question about the locking system. The one improvement I would recommend is that the house could use a decent set of pots and pans and a good knife set and cutting board. The property is very close to the water, the view is amazing, you can even hear the waves and there is a house fairly close that blocked the wind. We loved the extra room with the pool table, allowed us to spread out and enjoy. The house had everything we needed, only 2 complaints were the showers, which worked, but with very light pressure and the TV in the main room wouldn't work, but otherwise wonderful stay. Would also recommend that you provide coffee and filters that fit the coffee maker. Our family of five was happy just hanging out and looking out of the window while we read, cooked, and played games on a last minute vacation before school started. The yard was perfect for our pup. There were deer that we could watch that came regularly and a bobcat sighting. The nearby beach was great for walks, the road for running and dog walking, and Bodega Bay had great offerings for coffee, pastries, food, and groceries. We had a great time and would highly recommend this property. Fabulous location and views that cannot be beat. We made a fire every morning in the groovy round fireplace and evening inside and had the weather cooperated, we would have had one outside too! Just gorgeous decks! However, the house does have some quirks (just like we people do!) The large dining room table is stunning, but the couches and chair are arranged as if you're in a fifth-wheel camper and you're not allowed to move anything. So, a great hang out space but for sure not a place to watch TV comfortably. The kitchen is really small, not very well organized, and wasn't entirely clean (the top of the fridge was really dirty). It was the biggest disappointment of the trip since we really love to cook. However, on the plus side, we were happy for the grill outside and it worked just fine. Oddly, the primary bedroom has no closet and the side table for one person is really just unusable. For some reason they have locked off the closet, so we used the room across the hall for our clothes which was fine for us, but if we had guests in that room, we would have been stuck with living out of our bags the entire time. The bonus room is great for watching TV or playing pool. We would definitely come back! ##### Jenny S. Reviewer Comments: We loved our recent stay at this Beach House. It was in walking distance to an amazing beach, that was never crowded. The ocean views from the living room, king room and back room were amazing. We enjoyed the fire table, bbqing on the deck and eating dinner outside. The room with bunk beds was a nice surprise! The description said it was a room with a full bed, so I was prepared to have my girls share a bed. To our surprise, they each got their own bed as bunk beds! That should definitely be updated in the property description. The pool table was an added bonus that we used every day as well. The kitchen is a little small and there is no room to store any food that you bring unless it needs to be refrigerated. It would be nice to have a cupboard to store some snacks during our stay.
