"Was clean but dated"

"Everything was very clean, staff exceptionally friendly. The double queen room we stayed in was cozy and comfy. There is no table in the room so dont plan on eating in the room, which isnt a big deal as they have delicious food at the lodge. Breakfast buffet is one of the best we ever had! Biggest complaint...good coffee is hard to find! They have a Starbucks inside for drinks only but between the line one day and the staff who stands around chitchatting and not engaging with any of the customers being a huge turnoff so we didnt order from there. The rooms are a longer walking distance from the lodge than one may expect. None of the soda machines near the rooms worked so make sure you have your water bottle, they have refilling stations for these at the lodge. I recommend taling self guided tours first The historic tour was awesome except the speed..they walk you past many picture worthy spots without explanations or time to snap photos. The front of the pack is crowded and hard to enjoy and see things and the back of the pack has to practically run to keep up. If you tour at the end of the day its worse and the ranger will yell at you to move faster and that lagging behind is dangerous amd you are falling too far behind the group...even though the group is around the corner. Stay close to front if you want to hear but closer to back if you need space and have smaller kids because they get lost in crowd easy and most people are oblivious to families trying to stay together."

"We had a terrific stay. I would definitely stay here again! The house is comfortable and clean. Everything you need if you want to cook. The weather was perfect for an evening campfire. Mammoth Cave is nearby and a trip to the Zoo, Kentucky Down Under was a highlight. You can feed a kangaroo or two or several."

"We came to visit Mammoth Cave and loved our stay here! The cabin was very clean and charming. It had everything we needed to cook both indoors and out, cozy hang out spots and personal amenities. Although you can see the cabin across the lane out front, it wasnt too close for comfort when the neighbors were home. If all lights are out at night, its pitch black except for the stars, and we loved the view of the sky and woods from the hot tub. Theres a really nice disc golf course in and around the cabin area, sign up is just down the lane. The owner was so friendly, informative and helpful. He made sure we knew what was in the woods and what our boundaries were. Highly recommend!"

"Close drive to the national park. Good fishing. Plenty of space for two families with kids to share. Nice hot tub."

"We had the absolute best time in Kentucky! This house is adorable. The only thing I was surprised to find was that there is one queen bed in the master bedroom and only one small full-size bed upstairs. I don’t know if the pictures on the listing confused me, but I thought there were more beds. We made it work and had a great time! The kitchen was awesome, included everything we needed to be able to cook what we wanted. The fire pit was great and came with two marshmallow roasting sticks! Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. Would recommend!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful area and lots to do! The home was very comfortable including every bed in the house! The kitchen had everything you need in a kitchen. Lots of indoor activities for family and kids, and outside fun as well (tether ball, bon fire area). We enjoyed several campfires. Wood available at the local store a couple miles down the street. During our stay we visited mammoth caves, several hikes, kayaked the green river and traversed the green river on the ferry. "
