"This was an interesting location to visit. The building seems historic but with nice modern updates. I appreciated being able to bring my dog for an added fee. The room was clean and well equipped. "

"We were looking for a one-night stay in Charlottesville. It was hot so we basically filtered the search by location/having a pool. There was a nice looking bar and we had drinks by the pool. It was a bit of a walk to our building and our room was down a flight of stairs. They did offer to help with our bags. The parking is mandatory valet. Our building was like an old home with solid wood doors and old hardware. I hadn't used a real metal key in a hotel in quite a while but it was fine. It was quiet and there was a nice cafe/restaurant on the property. We only had coffee drinks and food to go but it was nice. The staff was very knowledable and friendly. I would recommend but be prepared that it's not your standard corporate chain, but that was nice for us."

I appreciated the consistency of the room layouts, the check in process and the breakfast was full of great options. My only negative is the pool hours. Parents of tween/teen travelers could use a few more hours to let their kids get a break from traveling by swimming before bed. "
