"A Down-to-Realism Vacation Stay: Highly Recommended! My stay here was absolutely Excellent and I enjoyed every SINGLE DAY of it. Old Wooden Bridge Cottages & Marina (listed as a Resort on some websites) is the perfect spot if y'all are looking for a decently priced stay. To be realistic, it is not your expensive luxury Hilton-style hotel—but it is an excellent, authentic Keys experience .... We stayed in Cabin J7, which came with Beautiful views (especially Morning Time) and Convenient Private Parking. The Rooms were Great, Comfortable, and Very Clean & spacious. The Kitchen was Fully stocked with everything you need (cups, dishes, pots, and pans). Plus, there is a Winn-Dixie just down the road for easy grocery runs. We actually cooked so much that we had plenty of extra food, which we Shared with the Staff! This place is fully equipped for Boaters and Vacation getaways. They have a great Pool, Boat Ramp & Boat Trailer Parking, a dedicated Fish Cleaning Station & On-site Boat Fuel & Bait On our last day, we went fishing right on the Bridge and caught plenty of fish! As a bonus, there were a lot of beautiful Key Deer roaming around the property, which made my kids stay even more special. The Staff here are Great, Respectful, and Super Helpful. They truly made us feel welcome throughout our trip.
I will absolutely be coming here again, and I’m already talking about it and recommending it to all. Affordable Keys getaway, this is it!"
Castaway On The Keys: Experience Spectacular Open Water Living on Bogie Channel, Pool & Dockage!
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at Castaway on the Keys through iTrip. This house was a perfect home base for our family while we were down in Big Pine. We spent most of our trip fishing, diving, boating, and exploring, and the house had a ton of great features that made all of that really easy.
The dock setup was one of the biggest highlights for us. Having secure dockage for two boats was a huge plus, and the location gave us quick access to the Gulf side mangroves, Atlantic fishing, bridge fishing, and plenty of places to explore by boat. For anyone coming down to fish or dive, this house is set up really well.
The 5-gallon ice machine was also a great feature. It was just enough to help keep our coolers iced down, and we only had to buy ice a few times during the trip. The downstairs storage area was really helpful too, especially with all of our fishing gear, dive gear, coolers, and boat stuff.
The house itself had plenty of room for our group and had a great laid-back Keys feel. We loved the pool, the outdoor kitchen, and the overall setup of the home. It was comfortable, easy to settle into, and worked really well for a family trip.
iTrip was easy to work with and communicated well throughout the stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Castaway on the Keys and made a lot of great memories there. It is a great spot for anyone looking for a relaxing Lower Keys getaway, especially if you plan to spend a lot of time on the water."
PRIVATE POOL HOME. BOATERS PARADISE…LITTLE TORCH KEY. GREAT FISHING LOBSTERING
10/10 Excellent
"2nd time staying at this OASIS. I feel right at home the minute we pull in. The grounds are gorgeous & you have a lot of privacy. It is very dog friendly with numerous ways to set up the yard to accommodate them. The house has everything you need (with nice bonuses if you’re bringing a boat). My husband and I work remote and have had no issues with the internet. This truly is a home away from home."
Charming 46 ft lg canel ft 2-bed in delightful Little Torch Key with RV hook up.
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at the Lobster Shack! The Tiki hut and outside grilling area with the marble countertops is beautiful and enjoyable and is where you want to hang. The canal is 17Ft deep, very clear most days with the tides, many fish schooling through and possible a manatee might grace through but they are quite. If you do bring a boat the boat launch is less than a mile away. The access to the Gulf or Atlantic is so assessable. Being seasoned keys area renters you can't beat the location for a nice slower pace area compared to your bigger keys like Marathon/Islamorada.Big pine key offers grocery store,phamacy/drug store and more. You'll sure see rosters, hens and chicks in the parking lot but if your lucky you'll see a key deer there also! Bucks are so cute. There is no "fast food" in the direct area but there is Trionos Taco, little yellow food tuckin the Hertz parking lot across from the Keys cafe(which is great also) and it is a must try/ have, Clint has great prices and his tacos or any of his food is nothing compared to a taco bell If you book we hope you enjoy your stay as much a we have.. "Host was very responsive.Location was great in a very nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed bicycling, hiking, kayaking, fishing and snorkeling on several keys.Local Winn Dixie was nice for all our needs too.Watch there is a third shelf we were not aware of, we finally ran across the coffee pot lid on the third week. The host was gracious enough to send another coffee pot, sorry, we did not find it earlier."
