"We had a wonderful stay at the Lobster Shack! The Tiki hut and outside grilling area with the marble countertops is beautiful and enjoyable and is where you want to hang. The canal is 17Ft deep, very clear most days with the tides, many fish schooling through and possible a manatee might grace through but they are quite. If you do bring a boat the boat launch is less than a mile away. The access to the Gulf or Atlantic is so assessable. Being seasoned keys area renters you can't beat the location for a nice slower pace area compared to your bigger keys like Marathon/Islamorada.Big pine key offers grocery store,phamacy/drug store and more.You'll sure see rosters, hens and chicks in the parking lot but if your lucky you'll see a key deer there also! Bucks are so cute. There is no "fast food" in the direct area but there is Trionos Taco, little yellow food tuckin the Hertz parking lot across from the Keys cafe(which is great also) and it is a must try/ have, Clint has great prices and his tacos or any of his food is nothing compared to a taco bell If you book we hope you enjoy your stay as much a we have.. "We recently spent the month of February at Castaway on the Keys and the property is wonderful. The house is bright, spacious and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are great. The entire house is clean and well maintained. The outside area is resort-like, with a heated pool, plenty of pool chairs, and great water front views. The upper and lower deck/patio areas are large and provide ample space for lounging, with two gas grills, ice machine and sink. We have spent a month in the Keys for the past six years, each in a different house in a different Key, and this is our favorite property - by far. The communication with the property's agent, iTrip, was timely and informative."

"We enjoyed our stay at Sea-Esta. The location was perfect for our fishing plans, and the house was stocked well with appliances and kitchen wares. We were able to dock our boat and the use of the bait freezer was nice. The i-Trip staff was responsive to all our questions. However, there were a few items that made our stay uncomfortable. First, the pool temperature is set at 85 degrees. While this sounds warm, it is not, especially for toddlers. We asked a couple of times for the temperature to be increased to 89 or 90 but was told it was under owner control and not able to be increased. This was especially frustrating because we had inquired about a previous negative review before booking and was told it was unrealistic because it was May air temps compared to water temperature. Since we rented in January, this was absolutely not the case. The pool is always in the shade, so it gets no natural heat. A total waste of the additional 840 we paid for the month. We highly advise you to not pay the extra for the pool.Secondly, the house air-conditioned temperature is regulated remotely by the owners and set with a password. Initially the house was hot and very humid. We had several sleepless nights until the management company finally got them to let us decrease the temperature. But there were several times we would turn it down and it would mysteriously go back up. While we understand their desire to make sure the house is not abused, it was very frustrating."

"We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Big Pine Paradise. We come down for a month every year and this was the first time we stayed here but it for sure will not be our last. The location making it easy to get to the back country or ocean side, the marina with boat launch and dockside fuel just around the corner, the pool to cool off in after a day on the water. An absolutely beautiful home and great management as well, anything we needed was easy to get answers or help. Thank you for such an awesome stay!"
