Always amazing!
Another wonderful stay! Our 3rd time visiting and love it more and more. Very clean, beautifully decorated and just a great place to relax for the weekend. We enjoy building memories here and our kids beg to go back regularly. Thank you for creating such a special place!

Peaceful and relaxing
This remote cabin was everything we hoped for. We stayed 4 nights to get away from our busy lives. The cabin was perfect for this de stress from everyday life. If you like the pictures then you will love it here. It was clean and it had everything we needed. I absolutely fell in love with this cabin. I hope to visit ago someday because it was just what I needed at this hectic time in my life. I came back home refreshed and sad at the some time. Sad because I missed this beautiful cabin.

Pictures do not do this house justice. We’ve stayed many places and this is by far our favorite! What a beautifully done home! Not just the build but the attention to detail. Serpell said her husband built this log cabin… he’s a genius to detail. They also had thought of everything we would or could need during our stay! And the on property prairie trails were so beautiful and well maintained! Wow! Just can’t say enough about what a wonderful stay this was. This was a romantic getaway for our 23rd anniversary, but now can’t wait to bring our whole family back to enjoy this wonderful place!

Peaceful Getaway
My husband and I were looking for a peaceful place to get away and unplug for a couple days and this cabin was amazing. It's secluded and surrounded by nature. The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and had great amenities. The fireplace outside was a wonderful spot to relax at night. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the porch and watching all the butterflies and dragonflies on the wildflower field. We even had a couple baby deer that came by each night to graze. It was great for just my husband and I, but would be a fun place for a family as well. I would highly recommend this cabin and would love to go back there someday.

Family had a wonderful time, will definitely stay again. It is off the beaten path and very cozy and rustic. The only downside was Tuesday we lost electric due to a storm but it was back on in matter of a few hours. The owners came to check on us to make sure we were ok and reminded us where everything was.

Great time with a few glitches
The property is beautiful and the pictures are a good representation of the cabin. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of kitchenware to support making meals which we did as restaurants were farther than we wanted to go. It was quiet, restful and exactly what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable and the linens good quality. There were plenty of inside and outside blankets, towels and pillows. Both of our cell phones had adequate reception. The glitches - I was not a fan of the water. It was fine to shower and wash dishes with but cooking or drinking just tasted off. The first night we made a fire in the outdoor fire place and after about 45 minutes we went inside and the cabin was full of smoke. We opened all the windows and the smoke cleared within an hour. That made us a little leery of having another fire the rest of the nights. The cabin still smelled smokey all weekend but we didn't mind that. The next day there were honey bees inside the cabin, but they soon left - it was just odd. Also be aware that you are in a woods and wildlife will come on the deck(s) if you leave goodies outside. We were sure to bring in everything but 3 racoons still visited every night. Oddly they didn't bother the compost bucket or the trash.

I'm sorry your visit didn't meet your expectations. We had the fireplace inspected after your visit and it was all clear. We've had several guests use it since your visit without any problems. As stated in our listing the water source is a cistern. We do filter and treat the water. It is perfectly safe, I'm sorry you didn't like the taste of it. As for the raccoons, unfortunately I can't control the wildlife. I apologize for their disruption.

Perfect Cabin to Relax!
Our stay was wonderful! Just as expected with lots of quiet, plus being off the grid and all the amenities to relax! Cabin did not disappoint with all the little things the owners thought to include plus it is clean. Rent this cabin and slow down!! Our lives have been hectic since 2020. My business, covid shut down, breast cancer, sell business = run away here and total relax! We will be back!

Hidden Gem
My husband and I spent a long weekend here with our two teens. We had a wonderful stay. The cabin feels rustic and remote, but also clean, modern, and spacious at the same time. The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything that we needed. The porch overlooking the woods was so peaceful, and we had fun cooking hotdogs and s’mores in the outdoor fireplace. We enjoyed exploring the property - walking the paths, checking out the animals, and finding the geocache. It was a short drive to Serpent Mound, antique stores, and Amish shops. Rain and high winds prevented us from doing a lot of hiking, but we managed to squeeze in the Cedar Falls trail on our last day, just 10 minutes away. The hosts were very responsive and left us muffins as a welcome gift. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful Getaway
This is a beautifully constructed cabin, built with old materials, made into an amazingly modern home. Serpell had everything we needed in her beautifully stocked kitchen. It was nicely secluded but we were able to find a great pizza place in West Union, about 20 minutes away.. Bedrooms were very comfortable and easily accommodated our 5 guests. Definitely will be staying here again.

I am hesitant to write a glowing review because I’d hate to let such a wonderful secret out of the bag. What an amazing find! The cabin was much larger than we had expected or the pictures represent. The entire cabin was exceptionally clean and smelled wonderful. This was a great place to spend a winter weekend away from the normal hustle and bustle of our lives. It was so quite that all we could hear was the crackling of the fire and the hum of the refrigerator. The hosts are amazing and very thoughtful people. We only wished that we had a chance to meet. We can’t wait to come back!

Heaven on Earth
This cabin is a little slice of Heaven on Earth - incredible sunset views, beautifully crafted cabin, indoor AND outdoor fireplace opportunities. Our hosts were exceptional. Our stay amassed wonderful family memories. We felt like we were in our own cabin in the woods. We loved being on each of the porches, llngering by either of the fireplaces, and gathering around the beautiful dining table. Exceptional.

Incredibly Cozy Cabin
This was our second time staying here and it was just as perfect as we remembered! The cabin has charm around every corner and many apots to sit back and enjoy the surrounding woods and farm animals. It is the perfect place to get away and reset.

This was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The cabin is beautifully built with a lot of rustic charm. It was very clean and well supplied. The walking trails around the property are very scenic and peaceful. We loved watching all of the wildlife in the field, especially the butterflies. Our favorite spot to relax was the outdoor fireplace/sitting area. Overall, it more than met my expectations and was the quiet retreat we needed. We hope to bring our family back someday.

Secluded modern Cabin
All of our needs were met from age two to age 60. The property is located far enough away that you are not bothered with noise or anyone else, yet if you need to pick something up its not located far from civilization. Anyone wanting somewhere to relax and can make the trip; we all highly recommend this property. The 4-year-old said it best when he said I love this place can we take it with us.

Beautiful cabin!
We were looking for a place somewhat remote and quiet and this place was it! Beautiful restored cabin, comfortable beds and all the cookware you need to feel like home. It was cool while we were there and we hung out mostly on the porch and enjoyed the fireplace there. The setting was so peaceful, it was a perfect fit for a relaxing getaway. A gem
This beautifully restored, expanded historic log cabin is lovingly cared for, with cozy spaces throughout. It accommodated six adults and a toddler with room to spare. Located in a rare, wild ecosystem, it beckons us to a repeat visit for hiking and unwinding.

This was our first time in southern Ohio and the cabin and location were both amazing, the cabin was breathtaking and the fires burned so well inside and out. The towels, the pillows, the beds, the indoor and outdoor blankets, everything was so cozy and perfect. This was well worth the stay and will would definitely return to these properties!

My husband, daughter, friend and I had a really wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. It was comfortable and cozy, and all the details to accommodate a great stay had been thought of. And we can’t say enough about the cabin itself and the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. That it was built by the owners made it that much more wonderful. Our overall impression of this property was more than we expected, extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and they made sure the cabin had all the extra little things that you may have forgotten at home. The view was beautiful and peaceful. There was cell service if you need that sort of thing, and the owners were easy to contact if needed. We would definitely go back and stay again.

Our second stay at this property and once again, it was a wonderful experience. Nathan came to check on us on the first night and was accommodating and courteous. The location and property are spectacular. We enjoyed cooking special meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoying them around the fireplace as we relaxed and unwound.

Relaxing and recharging
While staying at the Rebecca Behm Cabin there is a lot today around. A short drive to Kentucky to learn about the underground railroad and history of bourbon. There is antiquing just a few miles from the cabin. Then for the outdoor adventures there are plenty of hiking trails through the state parks. Plenty to enjoy or just relax at the cabin. There are also a few Cow's and a Shetland Pony at the main house. I would definitely go back again.
