Time Well Wasted is a charming 2-bedroom cabin that accommodates 4 guests, nestled among mature hardwood trees on a spacious property and offering layered mountain views at an elevation of over 4,500 feet. Located on a quiet residential street in Blowing Rock, the cabin is less than 3 miles from downtown, 1 mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and under 2 miles from the ski slopes, ice skating, snow tubing, and the main lodge at Appalachian Ski Mountain resort. Time Well Wasted is ideally situated as a vacation cabin with year-round relevance, perfect for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter!

Convenient access to the cabin includes a paved driveway with parking for two vehicles, just three steps below the main-level entry door. **During the winter months (October through March), we strongly recommend using a four-wheel or all-wheel-drive vehicle; chains may be necessary in snowy or icy conditions.**

The main level features an open-concept floor plan centered around a spacious living room with vaulted ceilings, a gas log fireplace, an HD Smart TV, and comfortable designer furniture. The well-equipped kitchen boasts granite countertops, and an adjacent dining table makes meal preparation and serving easy and enjoyable. This level includes a Queen bedroom with an HDTV and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

Step out onto the extended covered porch from the living room to enjoy year-round outdoor comfort and stunning mountain views. The covered porch leads to a large open-air side deck with outdoor dining, a gas grill, and ample seating.

The upper level features the master bedroom suite, complete with a King bed, HD Smart TV, and a private ensuite full bathroom. Enjoy excellent mountain views from your master bedroom. Additionally, a cozy loft at the top of the stairs provides a workstation with a desk for guests who need to stay connected to work and life back home.

Sling Orange streaming TV (ESPN, NCAA, CNN, TNT, TBS, Disney, 30+ paid channels) programming on Smart HDTVs will keep you connected and entertained during those "inside weather" days and nights. A washer and dryer are also available for guest use. With central heating and a gas fireplace, you'll always stay warm. Time Well Wasted does not have air conditioning; at over 4,500 feet in elevation, the cabin enjoys cool mountaintop breezes and is not fully exposed to the hot afternoon sun, keeping temperatures comfortably below the 70s.

PLEASE NOTE: The owners and neighbors want guests to understand that Time Well Wasted is in a quiet residential community with many year-round residents. The community enforces a strict 10 PM quiet time. Sound travels farther in the thin air and rocky terrain of the mountains, so even unintended noise from the decks can resonate more than guests may realize. With a maximum capacity of 4 guests, we do not anticipate any issues, but we kindly ask that you respect the community's peace and help us affirm that not all vacationers are noisy or rowdy.

* An exterior camera is located on the side/rear corner of the cabin, positioned away from the cabin itself. It faces the driveway entrance and offers a view of the mountain scenery. Owners can monitor the cabin when it is unoccupied and enjoy a nostalgic glimpse of the layered mountain views, especially when they yearn for a return to the High Country!

** A maximum of TWO (2) VEHICLES may be parked at the cabin during any booking. The cabin is a small 2-bedroom that accommodates up to 4 guests, and the driveway cannot accommodate more than 2 vehicles. Please limit your visit to two vehicles. If you have a third vehicle, you must arrange off-site parking with CCR or make your own arrangements.

*** There is no air conditioning (AC) at this cabin. It is situated at an elevation of over 4,500 feet, and the owners typically use it themselves during most summers. Temperatures rarely exceed the mid-70s at Time Well Wasted, and cool mountain cross-breezes help to keep them lower.
