This hotel was amazing, centrally located on campus in the student center. If you are visiting IU this is the place to stay to get a true feel for campus life. It was clean and recently renovated, easy to get to via car or shuttle from the Indianpolis airport.

Hyatt Place Bloomington
The room I booked was supposed to have a bath tub. The room I was given did not have a tub. Also, the room had a light (smoke detector) that flashed off and all night long.

We have stayed here multiple times. Comfortable, Clean, breakfast is good.

Hampton Inn Bloomington
The hotel entrance and my room smelled strongly of a harsh cleaning solution. The staff changed my room, but then maintenance left the tv on in the adjacent room all night. The walls are thin. The windows are small and the lights are dim. It was on the lower end of any Hampton I have stayed at.
