We saw mixed reviews and glad to say room 301 was excellent, very clean and exactly as advertised. The location of the hotel was superb, quiet street but just a few minutes walk to the centre of town and tourist area for cafe, bars and restaurants. The staff were also very friendly. The only negative is the description, which says the hotel has a restaurant, bar and cafe. In fact the hotel has no facilities at all. So as an excellent room and location, highly recommended but don’t get confused over the listing.

Excellent small hotel. Quirky room with heritage features. Staff were great, bed was comfortable. Well positioned for Diocletians palace. Only minor issue was that the partially underground breakfast room needs some more lights.

"The hotel, restaurants, staff, were very friendly, courteous, and professional. The restaurants offered a variety of delicious food and drinks. Some of the basic room amenities and toiletries had to be requested daily. Each room should be equipped with a walk-in shower. Transportation to Old Town ..."

"Wonderful genuine 5 star hotel. Fantastic breakfast, infinity pool, beach (although pebbly in Croatia). Meals can be a little expensive but seemed to be the same across Split. Very comfortable huge bed!"
