Good value basic hotel
Clean, no frills hotel. Perfect for our night away with a group of friends. Shower was hot and powerful. Room and general hotel was clean. Staff very friendly
We stayed for 6 nights, for what we paid was worth the price. People leaving bad reviews are those who expect 5 star service from a cheap and convenient place. We had a lovely stay, the staff were kind and extremely helpful. The room we stayed in was very clean and we were met with the smell of disinfectant (dettol) every day so we knew its cleaned regularly. We had tv, tea and coffee facilities, en-suite and towels provided. Me and my partner had a welcoming and comfortable stay. We cant thank everyone who works there for making our stay enjoyable.
Keith was amazing and so lovely. We stayed for two nights, the first night wasnt so great. On 3 occasions the front door was being banged on saying they had lost their key. This was 4am in the morning. The second night was lovely, we slept brilliantly. There is a vibrating noise from outside (does sound like work through the night) but had a lovely time and woukd stay again.
Very basic, no telly ,no towel , very dated , i know it cost £25 but it stopped enjoying the weekend . A double room with 1 socket .
Not a couplws hotel .
What a joke from start to finish totally worst bnb in the world from transferring us to another hotel cos they overbooked to water running though the ceiling totally ruined our holiday
Disgusting booked a family room and it was vile. Dirty underpants left in room, it stank of body odour and was filthy. Had to book another accommodation as was so disgusting we couldn’t even contemplate staying there. Don’t book
Expedia sent email confirmation on morning we were to depart. Hotel called on 17th cancelling the reservation because of flooding in room. I suspect they re let for a longer period to Strictly come dancing people as it was in Blackpool. Please refund the money you took on the 31st Oct from my a/c
Just back from staying here for the week and never again place needs painted, the single mattress didnt even fit the bed it was too short. Between the shower cubicle and wall the wee ledge it was thick with dust. No wardrobe to hang your clothes. No towels.
Booked into this hotel for 1 night, On arrival was informed that we had been moved to another hotel that was 1 mile away. We chose the hotel for its location close to central pier, it had a bar and limited parking. so not to be informed prior to arrival was not professional as we would of found another hotel.
We were located to the Avansi, which had no parking, no bar and was in desperate need of cleaning and repair. the manageress was lovely and very accomodating at the Avansi.
Gentleman at check in was polite and friendly throughout visit.
Shame the room let it down, where do I start ….
The room door didn’t close properly unless you locked it, there wasn’t any handle mechanism at all in the door. Other doors around hotel were filthy also. The walls and door were filthy, holes in ceiling and cracks in the plaster in the ceiling. Light shade was filthy with dead bugs in it. The blind when let down was dirty and stained.
Checked bed before even got in it and there were hairs all in the bed found atleast 5 that did not belong to me or my friend and there was even a hair stuck to the inside of the bathroom door. Bathroom very tiny definitely not enough room to even swing a cat in it let alone get changed! Even found a squashed bug or some sort still on the wall next to the door. Spent very little time in the room. When came to checking out the reaction area is meant to be manned from 9am there was no one there at 09:25 it was locked up so could not raise these issues with them. Will be emailing and requesting a refund not worth the money at all
This was the most economical available option, closest to where we wanted to stay. I read the reviews on Hotels.com and decided on balance it would be okay. I should have googled reviews elsewhere. We have since done so, and everything that we found wrong, someone else (usually several) has already commented on (apart from the man lying asleep at the bottom of the stairs who we had to climb over on our return at 11pm on our first night of 5!)
The hot tap in the basin was literally a drip; the bed had no mattress cover (I didn't dare look beneath) and the bedlinen, towels and curtains were threadbare; we had to put the kettle on the floor behind the door in order to reach a plug; there was a wardrobe, but no hangers so the only storage was a small chest of drawers- the top of which was the only surface space in the room and was taken up with the drinks tray; the bed was so close to the window I had to walk sideways to get into bed, pulling those flimsy curtains back in doing so - at least it was dark as I had to turn the light off at the door and walk across the room; although other people have commented on the 'cleanliness' being disgusting, we didn't find anything that bad, but it could certainly have been cleaner.
For £34 per night, you don't expect anything flash, but you do expect the basics, and things to be clean. We had just stayed elsewhere in a Premier Inn, paying virtually the same price per night, where things were as you'd expect.
Def won't be staying again!
So we read all the neg reviews and took it on the chin. Took our own towels, extra pillows etc. And guess what! If you needed towels or extras they were provided. 6 out of the 17 rooms dont have tvs, ours didnt and i feel that made our stay more social. Keith the manager was an absolute angel, no task was to much, he also gave great tips on budget saving plans. The bar area was lovely, very chill and welcoming. Pool table great addition. Keith clearly puts a lot of time and effort into the place and his enthusiasm shows. We'll be booking again, hopefully soon!
