'Deluxe single room' - no TV, no kettle or cups of any kind,
No waste bin, no hangars in a wardrobe that looked like it had been rescued from the derelict building next door.
Paper on ceiling was peeling from damp patches.
4 nights and no housekeeping of any sort.
The only time i saw the man who checked me in he had his kids and I wasnt going to rag him in front of them.
No staff apparent at any time, I dont even know if there was a breakfast.
Worst hotel in Blackpool?
My Hotels.com booking said a free breakfast was included but the owner said i had to pay extra for it despite me having ny receipt and invoice. My toom had no bulbs in the lamps on the wall and was dingy. The door didnt lock so i had to put a chair and a chest of drawers in front of it, and when i moved the drawers there was a big hole in the wall. The television didnt work and there was no remote, there was no bin and they only left shampoo for the shower. And I'm bald.
Positive - Friendly staff and a comfy bed.
But quite how any place like this can be receiving 5 star reviews on google without cheating is beyond me. It was really bad. At the President up the road i get a lovely bright double room with a sea view and breakfast for the same price.
Dont believe the 5 star reviews - Its dire. And it looks half finished.
I'd like a refund for my breakfast please
Not the best experience, certain problems/concerns were however dealt with swiftly and corrected, but for a lone female not safe or ideal. No fire escape instructions within the room, I was in a single room right at the very top, poor lighting on some stairs to which being so far away from reception was not ideal if needed assistance. Toilet seat hanging off, toilet flush hardly worked. No free WiFi as stated. No safety latch on the door for added security. Being woken by a male resident banging on my door before 6am was not a pleasant experience as it looked like he had been battered as he was bleeding but I was unable to assist with his enquiry but he was not aggressive just seemed worried and confused. But again for a lone female not a pleasant experience. However location was convenient and close to my required destination. I know certain rooms are being freshened up so things may improve somewhat in the future.
