Glamis in Blackheath
A very charming home with lots of character. Immaculately presented and very cosy and comfortable. Short stroll to all amenities, cafes, pubs and transport. Will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Glamis and found the place clean, neat and functional. This ended up being an expensive stay for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The additional guest charges for a second bedroom on top of the advertised price, as well as service fee meant we paid approx $480 a night over the long weekend. The bathrooms were spotless, kitchen was basic but functional, and the heating much appreciated. However, there is a lot of Ikea furniture, and the magazines and books in the living area were quite old (2009 issues).

Thanks for your review Emmi. When you made the decision to stay at Glamis, I am sure that the cost of the stay, as fully disclosed by VRBO (Stayz) prior to booking was taken into consideration & compared to other houses available over the same period. For a traditional cottage, two bedrooms, two modern bathrooms, two living areas, fully equipped home in an extremely convenient location & during a peak period, the cost charged by me is excellent value. If I received the $480 per night that you quote, I would be very happy. You would not be able to stay at a nearby major hotel for that price & you will only have one room & a bathroom. They would charge you more for your two children. Unfortunately, VRBO charges you additional fees for providing the booking service & then also takes money from me for providing a booking service. I think your criticism is really that of VRBO's fees; not the amount I charge & subsequently receive after having fees deducted. The additional guest fees, for the number above two as included in the base rate, covers the additional cost to me of linen, cleaning, utilities etc as charged to me by others for the additional work involved. Your comment that the furniture is from IKEA is noted; yes, but only some & so what! The furniture is not old, is in very good condition & is very comfortable. Yes, looks like some of the reading material is not current. We will remove them; thanks for alerting me to that. All the best & glad that you appear to have enjoyed your stay. Chris.

Perfect mountains getaway
We’ve stayed at this property four times now - we keep returning for the beautifully appointed house and fantastic location. The modern bathrooms and kitchen in this cosy cottage always make our stay feel very luxurious. There are plenty of beautiful spaces in the house for fireside reading, games and puzzles when you are not exploring the spectacular great outdoors!

Great location. Beautifully renovated bathrooms and kitchen. Light and airy yet kept the feeling of a mountain cottage. We were here during a cold snap so particularly enjoyed the central heating and heated bathroom floors.

Fabulous Mountains House
We loved our short stay at “Glamis”. We felt very relaxed and at home in this well located property. The house is a lot more spacious than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need to prepare meals at home and the underfloor heating in the bathrooms was appreciated. Will definitely book again.

Great upmarket cottage in best location in Blackheath
We loved our time at Glamis Cottage in Blackheath. Glamis is a charming, older style cottage, but with a beautifully renovated interior to make it super comfortable. It's only a 3 minute walk from the cottage to all the cafes and restaurants of Blackheath, meaning we made the most of all that this charming town has to offer. Importantly, it has all the facilities you need: a well stocked kitchen, good warm bedding and excellent heating throughout (it was around 1 degree for much of our stay). We only stayed for two nights over a weekend, but would love to come back for a longer stay to make the most of all that the mountains, and this cottage offer.

Glamis cottage
Such a delightful cottage and garden centrally located 2 minute walk to village and restaurants. We so enjoyed our weekend stay with central heating, big kitchen with all amenities and two lounge rooms. So wonderful to have two bathrooms for three adults. Thank you Chris, we will definitely return!

A breath of fresh air.
We loved our stay at Glamis. It was a great place to relax and rejuvenate in, and get away from the bustle of Sydney. The birdlife we found in the backyard alone was great to see.

Very cute little house
We spent a very short 2 nights at Glamis in October as a quick get away. Glamis is conveniently located within an easy walk to cafes and the gardens. It is well provisioned with lots of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking items. The house is very well furnished and the back yard is a lovely sun trap with lots of herbs. We feel like we really relaxed here.

Immaculate historic property excellent location 500 m away from the main shops.Open plan living, large Sony TV wood combustion fireplace ,ducted aircon ,stylishly renovated bathrooms and kitchen .all doors and locks work well, Only fault is one of the nuts on the underside of the plastic kitchen chairs kept falling off .

Great house in a great location.
Glamis is a lovely place to stay for a getaway in the mountains. Its very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Loved the slow combustion fireplace and the ducted a/c made the chilly mornings cosy inside the house . Being walking distance to the shops was a bonus and It is close to many great bush walks and the apple farm .

This is a meticulously renovated, beautifully appointed, and carefully maintained property (wonderfully clean!). All amenities are included, as well as a lovely landscaped garden. Very peaceful and quiet but incredibly convenient to the Blackheath village, which is literally a minute's walk away.
