About this property
Creekside Mountain Chalet with Hot Tub! Extended Stay
Welcome to Aspen Hollow! A large, remodeled cabin nestled at 9,000 feet elevation, fronting Clear Creek. Bring your family to enjoy a quiet time in nature and enjoy the art of relaxation, in a Mountain setting. Our property is a 30+ night accommodation. The property shares borders with national forest lands, is close to hiking, fishing, skiing, jeeping, and more! Soak under the stars in our 6 person Hot Tub, while enjoying the fresh mountain air. Only a few minutes drive to miles of Jeep trails. Hikes are endless, paved or cross country in the national forest lands (Arapaho, and Roosevelt). Property is located in the spring fed head waters of Clear Creek. It is always flowing, icy in winter, and amazing trout fishing in spring and summer. You are only 30 minutes to Eldora Ski Resort, without having to get on I-70. Blackhawk casinos are only 5 miles from the front door! Black hawk has adult fun with casino culture, great dining options, top-rated spas, and more.
Our road is maintained and ploughed during the winter season, but 4x4 or AWD is recommended from November-May. Without it can turn into and adventure, so please be aware and well equipped to travel in the mountain winters during your visit, November-May.
This is a great place for the family to explore, or just find a place to sit and relax. 2 acres of dry wood mulched yard and trails, perfect for finding a place by the creek to sit and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
We are friendly to smokers but ONLY outside. Be very careful with smoking, as our mountain area is highly susceptible to wildfire. Therefore we ask for no campfires on the property- please enjoy the propane fire pit! Do not drop smoking debris on the ground! We are pet friendly and charge a reasonable deposit for your 4 legged family to join you, but we request that guests must pick up after your pets.
This is our Colorado passion project that we have been remodeling & updating over the recent years, and we do our best to make it a fabulous experience for our guests! Your enjoyment is important to us, and we are delighted to be able to share our home with other families, friends, travellers, and all folks to enjoy- it is a pleasure to share it with others, so thank you for taking great care of our home!
Black Hawk is home to this holiday home. We really enjoyed our stay, and especially loved the creek on the property—it was such a peaceful highlight. One thing to note for anyone staying during the summer: there are no shades or curtains in the main living room. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, the afternoon sun comes directly in and can make the house get quite hot.
This was the perfect home away from home for our family vacation! Very easy to get to, and relatively close to cute towns with lots of restaurants and shopping. Lots of hiking trails, some within walking distance and some just a short drive. Absolutely beautiful setting, we LOVED the creek! Very quiet street/safe area. Hot tub is very nice and good sized. Property manager is very friendly and very quick to respond to our one *minor* issue upon check-in. HIGHLY recommend!!
Some friends and I rented this cabin for a NYE weekend. It was perfect- comfortable, charming, and not too far of a drive. We were able to walk to a trail head for snowshoeing and relaxed in the hot tub in the evening. Great place!
We had a great time at this cabin. It was so quiet and peaceful there. The house was well equipped. It was very clean. Any questions we had or concerns were answered by the host very quickly. There are a lot of stairs, but we managed them very well. If I were to go back to Black Hawk, I would certainly want to stay there again.

There was a windstorm that left the property without electricity untill just before we got there. Hottub was cold.:(...The lid was off it as well so it was pretty dirty too. Tho no fault of host, we rented the place for the hottub so we were kinda dissappointed. Other than that it was great! It snowed more than 2 feet while we were up there-so gorgeous!
This cabin was even better in person. The property was beautiful, there was a small pond and fish would come into it from the creek. I enjoyed having coffee here in the morning. There was plenty of space indoors plenty of rooms and beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner one of the nights. I would definitely recommend.
