Die Lage ist gut wenn man ein Auto hat, um von dort die zahlreichen Ziele in der Umgebung zu besuchen (Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden Königsee, etc.). Der Ort selbst ist etwas klein aber dafür ruhig, und einige Einkaufmöglichkeiten (Bäcker, Restaurants, kleiner Supermarkt) sind fußläufig erreichbar.
