The room was very clean as were the reception and stairway but the rest of the hotel is still being refurbed, the bar was closed with no access to any food or drink. I am sure it will be very nice when it is finished. The staff were very helpfull.

Happy

Communal areas are in turmoil as the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. My room, however, was recently renovated and was well decorated and equipped. Also clean!

Nicely refurbished room, heating took forever to come on but warm once working ok. Hot water not up to standard as it takes well over 2 minutes for hot water to come through. Hot tap and shower needed to be in full for many minutes to draw hot water through.

Noisy Road very near

A basic stay hotel reflected in the price. No restaurant due to asylum seekers being resident. Harvester pub near but more expensive then London !!!Beds were comfortable though basic. Linen was clean. TV worked. Water was hot. A very noisy location due to being next to a busy duel carriage way. Ear plugs required.

Inside better than outside

As you pull up into the car park the first thought is..is it derelict, shut down? Entrance through the painfully slow auto doors leads into slightly better looking reception area, very helpful receptionist and nice new carpet on the floor. The hotel is being refurbished and therefore no bar or food available. The room allocated to me was nicely refurbished, possibly the nicest bathroom I’ve stayed in for a while, thick new carpet and comfy mattress. However, the aluminium windows hardly opened to get rid of the overpowering smell of paint. The heating did not work so quite chilly overnight. Would consider staying again if there was food/drink provision but it’s not in an area that you could walk to a pub/restaurant that I could find.

Okay ish

Incredibly tired hotel, with no services. On the Positive, the room was clean and shower worked well with plenty of hot water Wi-Fi in room was perfectly reasonable No bar, no restaurant facilities that I could use, as was advised by checking staff not to. Entrance doors that seem to be on Prozac lift that worked but made terrible noises and made me feel very uncomfortable.. Windows in bedroom the only opened one centimetre and that was after I’d shove them hard to open at all. Car park that was covered in Garden rubbish, Which had been there for months by the look. Most areas were tatty.

Stayed in the annexe: room was fine. Recent bathroom makeover with a large walk in shower (very very slow drain though was threatening to overflow so cut shower short). It’s currently a building site but overall a decent clean place to break a journey or when working away. No bar available. There’s no shops within walking distance so bring your own refreshments.

Bed was comfy. Shower was hot and bathroom nice and modern. That's where it ended. Hotel needs urgent TLC. Looks run down, carpark looks like something from a post apocalyptic movie. No bar open and no restaurant. Thankfully there is an Harvester less than 1 mile away.

I only booked this hotel because there was a bathtub in the picture which I need for medical reasons so I put a note on the booking regarding this and assumed everything was ok because I wasn’t contacted, however the pictures turned out to be old so the room was completely unsuitable with no other options but to have a very uncomfortable stay

Great hotel. Only 10-15 minutes from NEC, which is ideal. Looks grubby from the outside, but really nice inside. I would definitely recommend it.

On arrival, we were advised that there were no rooms in the main building as the rooms were already full and that the building was currently being refurbished! No bar or restaurant. "Turn left at the skips and the lodge is across from them". Lodge was a large metal container. Room was clean. Friendly staff provided additional suppiles of tea/coffee as rooms "Not serviced until at least 3 days stay". Days went, no fresh towels or bedding, no rubbish removed. Had to request fresh towels, drinks kit and bed linen. Staff member apologised. To cap it all, there was one window which was adjacent to a hedge, beyond which, was the A45 main road, which had traffic 24/7. The window could only be put on a safety latch, as the security line was broken. The heat during the day was over 32 degrees. At night, it felt more like 40! We had booked the accommodation last minute, due to a serious health issue with hubby, having already lost the full payment for a week at a caravan park. - HINT: ALWAYS READ THE SMALL PRINT AT CARAVAN PARKS! NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS. Dreadful hotel which is undergoing a complete refurb and which staff advised should be detailed on booking websites. They said that Expedia have been informed of the refit too! SHOULD NOT BE LISTED FOR ANY BOOKINGS!
