"The hotel was probably the best in the local area, however while it was acceptable, several items would not make it an easy choice to return. The hotel was often full of smoke, a good portion of the beds were extremely hard. the Traffic noise from outside was disturbing. the Breakfast was restricted and very average. "This family owned hotel is very welcoming and warm! The breakfast was very good and with a good variety of fresh fruits. The bed was comfortable. Take note that some rooms are ground-level and you will only know which room you will have upon arrival. We chose the mountain view but we got our room on the ground level, so from the balcony you can't really see it due to the vegetation. "

"Whoever issues this sort of review request should check carefully before sending it. We were not able to stay at the Retreat because our flights to Vietnam were cancelled because of the war in Iran. We knew that the Retreat booking was not cancellable, but they would not offer us credit towards a future stay if we manage to re-arrange this once in a lifetime holiday. All we can say is that the Retreat was the most expensive of the places we were due to stay on our travels and therefore would hope that it lived up to the cost. We wish them well but are not likely to go there when we finally get to Vietnam. "
