Nice hotel with very reasonable food and drink prices. Staff are really great and I would certainly use this hotel again. Room was nice with good facilities. Improvements.. Better guest information would be good, such as detaills in the room about breakfast times, wifi etc. But overall highly recommended.

Highs and lows of the castle
Positives- great food, friendly service, very comfortable bed. Negatives, cobwebs in room, shower screen leaked all over floor, water pressure meant after 40 seconds shower just trickled. Carpets ripped and tatty in areas. Despite advertised no parking available anywhere near the hotel.

Thank you so much to the Castle hotel for a wonderful weekend break. Our room was clean a really comfy. Large room. The breakfast was yummy and plentiful. I would like to thank Patsy and all her lovely staff, who were kind and Attentive. I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel

Room was spotless on arrival, large and very comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and personable, with nothing being too much trouble. We stayed 3 nights and room wasn’t serviced daily so extra toilet rolls, tea & coffee would have been good, but that would probably have been provided if we had asked.

Great stay at The Castle
We had a really comfortable room with a great shower and a bath. It was lovely and warm and everyone was really friendly. I would definitely recommend The Castle for anyone visiting Porlock

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Room was large, clean and very well equipped. Bonus was pub downstairs which served great food and drink at very reasonable prices. Breakfast (included in rate) was excellent. Staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Thank you.

Just right for our short break.
Lovely Pub / B&B. Perfect for a short stay. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the full English breakfast was fabulous. The pub was full and lively both nights but with a room a few floors up it didn't bother us and was actually nice to see a pub busy with drinkers and guests . Room was clean and comfy. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

The staff couldn’t do enough for you, they were so friendly and welcoming. The room was great, room 14! Even though the parking was up the road it took less than 3 minutes to get to the car. Great outdoor area and very clean place!

Castle Inn, Porlock
A lovely 4 night stay at the Castle. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food is good. Parking very limited, though we parked elsewhere in the village. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

The Castle is a wonderful place to stay, the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. It's a very clean hotel/bar and the meals are very tasty and filling. We will defiantly be returning

Unique: a really joined-up team of commited and hard-working staff who want to do their best Dislikes: once we'd sorted the roof light in room 10 none! Consistently well-presented, well-cooked quality food apparently sourced locally. A huge well-stocked bar. Perfectly sited for exploring the coastal area on foot. No loose ends and we would be happy to make a return visit.

Old school pub/hotel
It was a loverly stay and what made it was the staff who were amazing. In the evening it was clearly a hub for the locals as they all came in with their dogs for a pint and a chat. Breakfast, full English, was really nice and although the eveing menu was limited it was really tasty. Pretty village Porlock but not much to do but as a base for our exploring it was perfect. Good value too.

Great stay at the Castle
The Castle is a great place to stay, right in the centre of Porlock. The room was comfortable with a great view. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We have been there quite a few times and would recommend it.

Porlock is a great place for anyone who's into walking/hiking, within a short time you can be on the coastal path or on the moors.

Our stay was great. Our room was on the second floor and had a good view. The bed was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was served with a friendly smile and was delicious to. There was no parking on-site so we parked at the local village hall which was free and a short distance away. Perfect for what we needed.

Better SW Path option than Porlock Weir
Really comfortable room and good WiFi. The guy serving breakfast was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. An egg and cheese baguette was a welcome change from usual breakfasts but it would have been nice to have had juice and fruit as an option.
