My personal experience here was not good but does not necessarily reflect the views of all other guests who didnt experience what I did.
I had booked. a suite up in the eaves of what looked like the older part of the building. Very characterful with exposed beams and uneven floors common with buildings of this age. I thought it was lovely until i looked closer.
As I walked into the room I walked through a cobweb. there were cobwebs everywhere, in the toilet, the bathroom, round the windows, corners of the room etc. The windows were dirty and it was obvious there hadnt been a thorough cleaning regime in place.
The bed was rock hard. My back was in agony the following day as a result. The toilet and bathroom in this room were separate and in the eaves of the roof which meant showering kneeling down. After knee surgery that is not ideal.
For what should have been the hotel's 'top' room, I was so disappointed I didnt bother staying for the rest of my booking.
Huge amounts of potential and character let down on so many levels. Such as shame as overall, it was a nice enough place.
