"The staff gets 5 stars. Never going to give a hotel of this caliber 5 stars, but the shower head was amazing: great water pressure and distribution. Breakfast is so so as is most food in this town. Stay here for the staff who were all helpful and courteous."

"It’s an ok stay for a quick visit. The breakfast definitely needs some work, the eggs are really watered down and the waffle mix is not it! It had a weird taste and it’s like the waffle maker wasn’t cooking them correctly, but I believe it was due to the actual mix. The place was clean and housekeeping was great. Close to shops and restaurants."

"This was our 2nd time staying at Blue Cottage :) We thoroughly enjoy this little lake house and feel very blessed to have the opportunity to stay here. It is a great place any time of the year! We love that there are kayaks and a peddle boat to go out on the lake—we bring our own fishing poles but the life jackets are also provided. The smart TVs in every room allow for your own preferred entertainment. Along with card and board games! It is also located only 10 minutes from Lake Livingston so you can go explore the offerings there as well. Down to the little things that really matter—I can’t tell you how many times one of us forget our toothbrush: the owners are generous enough to have disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathrooms! Along with other miscellaneous items like womens needs, other hygiene items, shampoo and conditioner, dish wash soap in the kitchen, ziplock bags for leftovers, laundry soap for clothes washing—these are the things that really, really mean a lot and make it feel like home during your stay. We always look forward to spending time here! Thank you for sharing such a great place with us :)"
Charming Home with Lake Views & Private Pool

"The lakehouse was perfect for 5 adults attending a family function in Livingston. It was easy to find and easy to navigate in and out of. A great restaurant was almost within walking distance which helped us weary travelers. It is showing some wear and tear, mainly the paint, living room furniture and cabinet fronts but it was clean and inviting so it worked out well for us. The pool and backyard were wonderfully relaxing."

"This cabin was exactly what my husband and I wanted to rent to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. The property is very private, quiet, and peaceful. The cabin and property itself were very clean and taken care of. The hot tub was great and super clean as well. We loved all the Texas decor and the rooster theme in the kitchen. The cabin also had plenty of cooking and drinking utensils. The WiFi worked great. All in all, the cabin was very homey and comfortable which is exactly what we needed considering we stayed for 6 days! Would 100% stay here again."
