"If I could give more than five stars, I would.
Château Hôtel Edward 1er is, without question, one of the finest places we’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The staff made us feel at home from the very first minute.
The property is simply stunning. Rich in history, beautifully restored, impeccably maintained, and incredibly elegant, it perfectly blends luxury with authenticity. Everything is spotless, and even the signature scent throughout the hotel adds to the unforgettable experience.
The grounds are magnificent. The gardens are beautifully kept, the swimming pool is peaceful and inviting, and every corner of the property reflects the care and attention devoted to maintaining this exceptional château.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Monpazier, with its charming market and picturesque streets just steps away. Private parking is convenient, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.
Every detail exceeded our expectations. This is far more than a hotel—it’s an experience. Without hesitation, it’s one of the very best places you can stay in the Dordogne, and we can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended."
"La estancia en Sarlat en el Hotel Naad fue muy buena. El hotel es pequeno y con una atención muy familiar. El hotel esta muy bien ubicado y tanto Nadege como Victoire tienen una atención muy personalizada y desde la llegada te hacen sentir bienvenido."
"During the recent heat wave in France we had to find a hotel with air conditioning. We found this hotel on Expedia and it was fantastic! Great AC, staff that provided valuable restaurant advice and a wonderful pool to beat the heat. I highly recommend."
"The hotel is amassing, down side the bar closed at 9:30pm and the pool at 8:30
The botells of water in the room should be offered for free on a daily base and not just on arrival.
Rooms are large, big bathroom, very clean and air-conditioning... very important when its 39c outside."
"Excellent location for restaurants etc, helpful staff, spacious room with comfortable bed.
Unfortunately there is no free onsite secure parking as the Expedia Hotel details state ie “ Onsite parking available
Convenient and secure onsite parking, a rare amenity in the area.”. This is not at all accurate, You have to park on the closest street to the property. Free parking is only between 6pm and 9am. We paid €15 for three hours before the 6pm free time. Then it’s €5 an hour the next day. So as long as you’re only staying one night it’s not too bad especially if you can check out early and leave. Still very a misleading statement that should be removed."
