"It was a Nice hotel, fantastic burgers and the bar tender was very pleasant. The only complaint would be the street noise. It was constant, all night which made it hard to sleep. Oh, and there is a train close by but I would have preferred the train over the Fast and Furious outside our window. Make sure you have something to block out noise at night."

"Very unenthusiastic rude front desk guy. No greeting. Went up to the room he gave us. There was a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Thinking it was a mistake, we went in to find the room in disarray and obviously someone still staying there. Went back to front desk, no apology, just rudely gave us another room without a word. Asked for best way to walk to the Civic Center and he just waved his hand in a general direction without a word. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Would not recommend."

"Our room did not have a mini fridge, and the shower water never got hot. The restaurant had good food, but the service was unpredicatable (excellent once, and awful the next time). The elevator was extremely slow to arrive. Also had to pay for valet because hotel parking for free was basically non-existent. "

"Due to road closures we were unable to get to the hotel valet parking. Tried to call the hotel 3 times to find out how they preferred us to get to the hotel. No one would answer the phone. We were able to get to the Sheraton and ask for directions. The staff at the Sheraton were awesome. They told us where to go. A valet for the Westin was suppose to meet us at the entrance of the parking garage but never showed so we drove around the parking structure until we saw the entrance to the Westin. We parked and tried to get into the Westin from the parking garage but needed a key card. Since we hadn't checked in yet we didn't have one. So pressed the secutiry help button 4 times with no answer. So went to some elevators in the parking structure and found a very nice man who was a security guard for the city parking structure and he walked us to the entrance of the Westin. Once there, the valet never tried to assist us getting in and after waiting the front desk attendent finally help us and a few other customers in. Our flight landed at 11:30pm and we (family with ypung kids) were walking the downtown streets of Birmingham around midnight trying to get into the hotel. There were groups of yougs kids all over. Very thankful the nice security guard walked us to the hotel. Hotel staff were no assistance at all. Horrible experience. "

"This room was disgusting. Holes in the walls. TV falling off the wall. Baseboards look like years of build up. Pubic hair in bed. No sheet beneath the blanket. Did not supply bedding for pull out even though they knew we have 4 occupants. Supplied only one washcloth and 3 towels. Holes in the towels, and they looked dirty. Never provided additional requested towels and washcloths. Two people didn't stay. They slept on the floor of a hotel room with a friend, rather than sleeping on the disgusting pull out sofa bed. It was filthy! Onlne pictures do not represent what this unit actually looks like, other than it is correct placement of the furniture. After waiting 11 hours for towels and washcloths, we left. So far they have only refunded us one night. This was a nightmare. Don't believe the pictures advertised."

"Tiffany is awesome at communicating and the house was so clean! I would definitely stay again. It worked great for our group of 13 — no one was crowded and there was plenty of room. Highly recommend. "

"We were in town for a volleyball tournament at the Convention Center. The homes location for the tournament was really good! We walked to the Convention center the first day, about 20 minutes, but drove the other 2 tournament days. Overall, the property was clean and very spacious for our needs. It is an older home with a lot of charm. The host was very responsive with any questions. Check in was a breeze and the beds were incredibly comfortable. If you're a light sleeper, I would recommend to bring ear plugs, as throughout the night there were several barking dogs, airplanes and trains both nights we stayed.The bathroom served our family just fine. We did run out of toilet paper as only one roll was in the home, so we had to purchase more during our stay.Overall, it was a good stay and a great value. "

"When I arrived, the code to the door would not open the door. I called and they told me to try many different codes and we got inside, but then when I went to get more of my stuff from the car, the code was changed AGAIN. The photos are deceiving, and you can only access 1/2 of the apartments from the parking lot, for this one you would have to walk around to the stairs. This is in an area where I would not recommend staying alone. Overall there was poor communication with the host. I did not stay at all for my 2 week planned stay and no amount of refund was given. Very difficult to work with. "
