"This was absolutely what we wanted, a nice quiet place - the garden is so big it felt like our own secluded woodland. Nice countryside nearby - try Cleres, Pavilly, and the wooded valleys locally. Rouen's a short drive, lots of other charming places only a little further away.. If you don't speak any French I expect Sandrine's enthusiasm and welcoming approach will still sail through the language barrier. Loved it."

"We had 3 lovely nights at Janine's apartment, and Janine was delightful to work with. The apartment was cozy, and it was only a 15 minute drive to the heart of Rouen. "The house is a large, beautiful gite with everything we required for our stay; good facilities, clean and a well maintained pool on a daily basis. The property is situated on a hill side allowing for unspoilt scenery in the sunshine. The owners were incredibly helpful, had very speedy responses and allowed us to book on the day! Keen to meet our needs on arrival and could be contacted throughout the stay. Pavilly, a small town is 4km in distance with a supermarket, garage, pharmacy etc....

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in an outstanding area. You do need a car to get anywhere though as the village is much further than we thought. We would highly recommend the restaurant in Val-deSaane. However, we have one major complaint. On arrival we had to pay 300 Euros for a security deposit which is not written in any paperwork - it left us very short of cash for our holiday. Can someone explain to us what would happen if we travelled cashless as a lot of people now do ?...

"Lovely spacious property with four bedrooms, three bathrooms plus separate toilets and big open plan kitchen/dining/living room. Property is ideal in good weather if you predominantly want to be in the property and go for walks locally. There is a Carrefour within a 5 min drive. There is little else locally in terms of places to go to eat and drink, however. Most places we wanted to explore were a reasonable drive away but Rouen is only around 30 mins. The two bedrooms were well appointed with plenty of hangars in the closets, heating that we were able to adjust ourselves on a couple very cool nights, and views onto their beautiful garden. "My friend and I spent one night at the Holiday Inn near the end of a two-week visit too France. Due to a mmix-up with Hotels.com, the reservation I had intended for June 9-11 was made for June 7-9, so when we arrived it appeared that we would be charged for nights that we had not stayed. Further, while we could stay for the night of June 9, the holiday Inn was fully booked for the night of June 10. The desk clerk quickly found us reservations at another hotel for the night of June 10 and the manager kindly did not charge us for the nights of Jun7-9. The room was large by French standards and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best offered while we were in different parts of France. I would gladly stay there again."
