Very comfortable.

Very comfortable room, other than the ac which is not cool enough and not adjustable. Everything else about the hotel was great though, and the breakfasts are well worth it. Great location too, easy to get around.

Very well situated, basically next to the Gesundbrunnen HBF, which is one of the central hubs in Berlin. Want to go to the city center? To the Museuminsel? To Potsdam? To Sachsenhausen? All easily accessible from Gesundbrunnen. There's also a mini fridg and the shopping center with many restaurants or grocery store options right in front of the hotel. The only negative point was how hot my room was. It made it hard to sleep since it was so hot, even when I was setting the room temperature at 17-18C. The cleaning staff kept bringing me new towels everyday for an unknown reason, even when I placed the towels on the hook. At the end of my 4 days stay, I had 3 shower towels.

Nice, comfortable

This was a very nice modern clean hotel situated close to a metro stop. My only issues were that the front desk helps see minimal and at one point there were six people behind me online to check in. Also, when came in the front desk use their card to allow them in the elevator. It didn’t work and for 10 minutes they just went up and down and nowhere the right way. Perhaps the issue was that was the difficulty but it was frustrating to wait so long. At one point in the evening, I phoned the front desk and literally no one answered and I let it ring for over a minute. The coffee makers provided in the room they do not provide any kind of creamer. And while you can get some from the restaurant, it means you have to exit the hotel walk outside and around the building to get to where the restaurant is . Also, the shower is a beautiful porcelain that looks like slate, but I found the floor very slippery when wet and no grab bars for older people.

Bedbugs alert

Immediately I noticed that the room is not clean enough and I found a lot of hair on the bed and it was different types of it. I asked for changing the sheets, but all I got was one piece of sheet to lie on to fix for myself. In the night I woke up and felt itching in a few spots on my body. I had a few bites spread a bit on my arm and I recognised the bedbug pattern (unfortunately 2 years ago I learned the hard way exactly how it looks like and how my skin reacts to bedbug bites). In the reception I was told there shouldn't be a problem to get me a refund and even heard apologies, I just had to write an email with the photos of the bites that I showed. After second email that I sent, I got a message in German rejecting the refund inquiry because "they didnt find bedbugs in the room". I am just praying that I didn't bring it home now and had to at least warn people to make sure the room is clear of it before sleeping at Ocak hotel.

Everything was perfect .. as expected from this hotel. It looks pretty just from the outside already.. and same from the inside.! The check in took no more than a few minutes, since you have to do it yourself (with assistance from reception) Next time I will try out the breakfast / or dinner since it looks nice too . The bed was so comfy. Nothing to complain about.
